How Often Do You Run A Data Backup?

So today has been one of those days where i do all the cruddy stuff each month, closing out accounting, removing old or expired domains, running server and HD backups etc.

Im currently about 3/4 of the way through all the backing up that needs doing each month and i wondered, do any of you folks run regular backups for what you have on your hard drives or servers?

I really cant beleieve how many files i actually have just sat on the laptop i use most of the time, some of them i know im probably never going to need again but, i back them up anyway just in case.

Does anyone else run regular backups of their machines and servers and, if so, do you keep everything or just he stuff you know you are going to need in the future?
