Where Does 2257 Stand On This?

Say i wanted to commision some custom shoots, could i get the 'actual' photographer to sign something releasing him/her of their 2257 producers requirements and actually have it appear as if *I* shot the content myself?

I seem to recall reading something about this a few months back but cant remember what the outcome was... Possible or not?

I would say review the "Work for Hire" sections of the Copyright Act of 1976. While not controlling for 2257 regulations, that should give you some insight into the principals.

Thats actually what i was thinking about specifically

Not sure if im willing to take the risk of doing it that way or whether i should assume full control from the outset though.
