dvd ripper recommendations

i am always being asked if i can rip content dvds for people so i decided to try it. i could use ripper recommendations for a pc with the main focuses being ease of use and quality of the vids after ripping.

Just load the scenes into Vegas and encode. And since you're the goddess of Vegas, you should be most comfortable using it.

As written before, editors like vegas can handle vob (mpeg2) files directly, but the DVD Decrypter is a nice pice of software, but for ripping only, no extra functions like rendering etc. A bit more functionallity you will get for e.g. with Xilisoft DVD Ripper or the MPEG4 Direct Maker
