    Back To Basics....

If you had to start over in the industry again from scratch, what would you do differently than you did this time around, if you knew what you now know?

Would you start off running paysites? Producing content? Generating traffic?

How differently would you do things if you were suddenly told you had to start everything you have done in the industry all over again?

    Regards,

    Lee

Creat and run paysite/s, without an affiliate program, on my own (I'd farm out the backend) !

I am stilled stunned @ how much money just one simple site makes, let alone a pile of 'em.

    Sorry, marcjacob.

to "farm out" means to hire or acquire a sub-contractor.

I'd hire a coder, or somebody to look after the backend.

I think you will find a lot of people willing to look after your backend.

    :offtopic: Sorry

If I had to do it all over again... I would have not taken a year off. So in effect I AM starting all over!

It's hard because, well, people don't remember what it was like to start off or when they started, it was under someone's wing.

I guess for me the hard part is traffic - I know design, content and have a programmer but Traffic is a horse of a different color.

Damn, you’re a little late - the spot been filled.
The new applicant & I are going over a few of the available positions. However, if not able to handle what I throw their way, we can always use a third member

I totally agree - the game difficulty level has gone WAY up, and continues to do so.

Yes, it is totally different and the main drivers to change have been visa (and so many billing companies shutting down) plus 2257. If I were to start over today? I think I would need a lot more money, like a good $10K to start with loads of content, a good site design and a CMS system. That would leave loads more time to get into advertising.

    cheers,
    Luke
