Asking for critiques

I’m in the process of turning HS into a more adult site and would like to know how the layout looks to other people. Full, Harsh and Honest critiques!

But I don’t want to come off as spamming the forum.

Im pretty sure if you just ask for some feedback it wont come off as spamming

Mark - I know but so do a lot of people who only post once then never come back. The one post is to use GWW as a listing service for Google indexing.

The site in Question is Happy Sucks (link in sig) - I have wanted to switch it over to a more adult site for some time. Well it has always been a blog-esq site so I'm going to stay with the blog type feel.

For now it is just the blog and I'm looking for feedback on the layout, colors, feel and ease of use.

I know the content is lacking but I went through the archives to turn off all my mainstream content from the past.

The content structure should conform to something I'm comfortable with over time (Story/text with image's to support) - Not a wordsmith

And if you want to trade links - Just let me know - However... I will remove links if I see a reason to (Twinks that look TOO young) and let you know so you too can remove my link in return.

And by posting this I'm asking for honesty - so be mean if you have to because I'll never get the point when you skirt around the issue.

What blog script are you using Craig? Checking your metas I'm not seeing a lot of the stuff that happens on a theme template for pinging and rss etc.

Why are you sending exit traffic to googgggle?? now stop that!! It doesn't endear you in their ranking and they don't need the inbound link. Find, or make, some kind of main stream site to send people to instead. Preferably one you can make some $ from.

Click on the month under Archives = your page loses it's middle blue table color and text becomes unreadable. Might check to see where it's looking for that bkg tile or else be sure the CSS is playing nicely with the archive template.

Having a sitemap link is good, that'll help the SE spiders.

I really like the overall design and look of the site. Posts are interesting and should you continue along that style, you'll probably have some good bookmarking happening. I'd jump on some more trades.

I'll possibly have some other comments once I know which script you're running.

I am using an older script and I know I should change that. I just need to find something that I can understand or has STS functions.

ok... Ready to laugh? The Blog I use and only because it it by far the simplest thing to use without knowing the programming needed to hack for good design... Greymatter (Yes, I know. One of the first ever weblog systems and built in CGI... YUCK!)
