What Will The Republicans Pull Out Of The Hat For The Elections?

Well it now seems like the Republicans are getting ready for a 2-week run up to the elections, Goober will no longer be telling people that we need to 'stay the course' in Iraq, insiting that they have always though their Iraq gameplan will change.

So, what do you folks think the major thing the Republicans pull out of their hat for the congressional elections in 2 weeks?

Im personally banking on a raised terror alert a couple of days prior to the elections or, some major announcement relating to the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan.

    Regards,

    Lee

They will mention the falling gas prices as a sign that the economy is back on track...

Weird how they started to drop just before November, after a steady climb since the last election.

My money is on voter fraud on a massive scale. And there seems to be nothing we can do about it. :turddance:

Hmmm, let's see... gay marriage, abortion, taxes??? The usual suspects, probably. I can just hear the campaign quotes now: "Hey, we might molest little boys, but at least our closeted fags don't want to get MARRIED and parade their perversities in front of your face! Vote for us: We keep it in the closet--where it belongs."

I would agree, probably voter fraud.

From what I read, the "October surprise" usually only works when it launches in early to mid October, otherwise there isn't enough time to influence voters... and to the extent that there is one, I think it's the Foley scandal that is the October surprise of this election.

Well look at what we have so far.

The NFL stadium threat. It was deemed "not credible" yet released to the public anyway. Of course FOX News reports the story and fails to mention that the threat was written by some kid. Leading people to believe it was from real terrorists.

More remains found at the World Trade Center. Those areas should have been searched years ago. Anything to keep ground zero in the news I guess.

Spreading fear that Nancy Pelosi will be speaker of the house if the Dems win. She did good in cutting this off by making very conservative statements such as being pro-life and against impeachment of Bush.

Cheney is going on Hannity & Colmes tonight. So I'm sure we'll be getting a taste of whatever is in their hat.
I post here to whore this sig.

Oh fucking wonderfu! The conservatives hate her and now us liberals can hate her too. I didn't think Nancy would pull a "Hillary". Why are the Dems so weak?

Yeah, Hillary is really pissing me off these days, which is a major disappointment. She's not talking the talk OR walking the walk anymore, and based on her history as the First Lady, I had such high hopes for her chances as a Presidential candidate in 2008. She's supported Bush on way too much stuff, but I guess a lot of that is because she's trying to sway Republicans to her side now so she has their support come 2008. But I think she needs to worry more about her own party line.

It's going to come down to Hilary vs. Rudy in 2008, and Rudy will win because he is America's Mayor.

He said he was not going to run, but recently went on record saying he will make up his mind after the November elections.

IE: if Dems take control of the House.

I think its going to be Obma, I don't think Hilary or senator Obma will win. There is no way the south or midwest will vote in a Lady or Black guy into office. To bad. Maybe they both should run president and vic president.

Yes, and isn't it interesting that the Feds haven't raised the prime rate for the past two cycles.

The Republican party has gotten to be nothing but a bunch of whores! And that's coming from someone who was raised as a Republican and am a former Republican City Councilman. I never ever thought I would vote a straight (Gawd, I hate that word) ticket, but I can't honestly think of one Republican I think is worth a shit.

For God's sake, will someone give that dumbass Bush a blow job so we can impeach him!!

Hillary isn't a friend of our community.....never make the mistake of thinking so. She is a friend of wherever she can get the most votes, period..... The problem is, the Dems don't have any really strong candidates for a presidential run in 2008.

The Democratic lost their balls at some point during the Clinton Administration. They are still trying to find them.
