Bad yesterday and worse today. The astrological explanation is as good as any I guess...

AJ and I are TOTALLY with you on the retrograde. It nearly always messes up technical things and it definitely messes up communications. Quite a few large companies will not enter into new agreements or sign contracts of any sort during a retrograde simply because they have had terrible experiences with it.
The astrological explanation is Mercury appears to be spinning backwards even though it isn't, and that translates to "things not being as they appear"... so if you enter into an agreement, it won't turn out the way you expected.
The few times that I've broken my own rule and entered into an agreement during a retrograde, it's never turned out positively. I'm not big into astrology either, but I'm a pragmatist, and if my own experiences plus those of some big companies warrant these sort of precautions, then we take them because there's a benefit to us to doing so.
Oh no! Here we go with the retrograde stuff again. Don't we do this every year? Lol. And of course, I still don't understand a lick of it.
Retrograde periods are generally good times to clean things up, so I'm working on cleaning up my back-ends areas and moving content and member's pages to one domain, getting rid of old banners, etc.

Sorry my englishness coming out there. A punter is someone who buys stuff usually crap actually, not criticising my sites there though hehe. Theres also the gambling punter who places bets or gambles.

XStr8guy, there are usually 4 Mercury retrogrades per year, and each one has some different significance or something based on what planet is moving through something or another. I don't begin to try to understand it all, I just read a couple of the astrologers interpretations about what the particular ones we're entering into mean and, to the extent it doesn't disrupt our business, do the best to stay clear of the stuff that's likely to cause problems.
