    Quick question about College Boys

Think ive messed up my marketing slightly, need confirmation really.

In the UK our 18 year olds would either be in work or College. They probably look more like Americas 16 year olds .

So my question: Would you call Corbin Fisher or Frat Men TV College Boys? Would you call Boy Funk College Boys?

If not, what would you call College Boys?

Also while were here, at what age would you leave High School?

    Boyfunk would be Twink.

Corbin Fisher and Fratmen are the College "jock" type

EU is missing the whole corn fed aspect of the American boys IMO.

Based on your ability to retain information and dedication to achievement you could graduate as young as 15 or 16 (rare but does happen) As well as did you skip a grade(s)?

The average is 17, 18 and a few 19. (19 based on someone turning 5 years of age just after the school year starts leading to them entering school at the age of 6)

So a high school boy could be 18+ but usually not so?. Ive always felt uneasy about that term but it seems to get more clicks. What about the others? Im pretty sure Corbins site is College Boys as its sold that way but are they older College Boys or Freshmen (see i learn all these American terms )

My former business partner used to use the term "high school boys" in the original Boyfunk tour, but I was always uncomfortable with that. I believe our current tour says "18 year old high school boys" or some other qualifying reference like that, but I think that even the qualified phrase wil probably go away in the next tour revision.

"Twink" to me is a body type as well as an age. Typically 18-21, usually somewhat slender/swimmer build, no chest or facial hair, and usually "cute" as opposed to a "rough trade" or "emo" type. Boyfunk is very twinky, and currently is on the younger end of (legal) twinks.

"College boy" would typically be more of a 20 to 24, a little more muscled, athletic/jock type, with better defined muscles.

Most of the Boyfunk models are 18 or 19. As they get older and more defined, we are still shooting new content with them but if they buff up a lot, that's not really a fit for the Boyfunk market, so we're either putting it on our DVDs or holding onto it for future use.

Corbin Fisher, Sean Cody, Fratmen would all be more of the "college boy" market.

    Pretty much what Chip said.

I can't even count all the applications I get from insanely hot (in the face) 18-23yo guys who I can not accept because they are too skinny for us. They're more twink than college guy.

And actually, we make it a point to use the term "College Men", as opposed to "College Boys", because we feel that better encompasses not just the age range being 18-23 (rare occasion up to 25... which I guess you could say would be a college man attending a huge state school who can't get in to enough required classes each term so takes a couple more years to graduate? hehehe) but also the body type.

Of course, twink and college guy sites are dealing with guys that fall within the same age range, pretty much. Though the twink sites often contain themselves to 18-21 or so. So it's really body type that distinguishes the genres.

Thanks guys that explains alot and yes my marketing was waaay off

I like the qaulifying statement "18 year old college boys", think ill use that instead. I dont think anyone can argue with that as your saying their 18+. and to me they all look 18+.

Corbin maybe you should do a twink site? Shame to turn away all those sexy boys :bananacock:

    Markjacob,

If you're using "high school" you should definitely qualify it as 18+, since about 2/3 of high school boys are under 18 and people might misinterpret. That's the part that Max didn't get.

But if you're using "college boys", you probably don't need to qualify it as I think the presumption in most people's minds is that guys in college are 18 or over.

If you market Boyfunk as "barely 18 twinks" or "18+ high school boys" or "18+ teen boys" those are the terms that will help to capture the right traffic as well as sending the right message.

    Hope that helps!

Well... remember that people are working on graduate degrees and specialized degrees up into their late 20s sometime, so those are still "college men." Just make sure that all your hunky older guys are working on Ph.Ds.

Our model Damien Stiller, who *still* looks like he's about 15, has about 1 year left in his Ph.D program in some sort of genetic engineering/biochemistry, and I think he's 24 or 25 now, so it really is the build rather than the age that makes the qualification.

Give me college men over twinks anyday... drool... Interesting how the age thing is a bit different here (Israel). Here guys join the military during the ages of 18-21, many sign up for an extra year or two (officers and special forces and such). University/college time means 21-25, sometimes even older.

I opt for the terms college guys or college hunks in my sites, though I occasionally put in boys as an endearing term.

Corbin, I wish I could get into your program, man. It's a shame you don't take affiliates from Israel

Yeah, that stood out to me. College "Men".
