how can i open nef files witch are raw files and convert them into jpg for the web any good software i can use to edit over 1000 photo's in nef format please let me know thanks

There is a plug-in for photoshop for it, but it does not always work too well.
NikonView, which is free software from Nikon, does have an NEF-to-JPEG covertor built in. Take your pick. I am a photoshop fan myself.

I would try to avoid NEF, as it is a Nikon Propritetary System, and thus open to problems with ThirdParty Applications. But thats just my opinion.
