    Thanksgiving Plans?

So with Thanksgiving only a day away i was wondering if anyone had any plans for tomorrow?

Like every year we'll be heading over to mom and dads along with the rest of the family from all over the country for a day or good food, good company and lots and lots of beer and pie

So what are you folks planning to do tomorrow?

    Regards,

    Lee

we do our traditional meal today because my daughter never gets her daughter on thanksgiving. i have all sorts of food to bring to her house and prepare including a full vegetarian turkey shaped like a turkey

also have a punkin pie, making a cheesecake, 2 kinds of stuffing, 2 kinds of yams, green bean casserole and the meat eaters are having a honeybaked ham for some reason this year - i think 'cause my daughter was intrigued by the commercials for the new deep glazed ham and she usually buys the turkey...

tomorrow michael, arie and i have our own smaller dinner and go for a drive and just hang out

    happy thanksgiving, u.s. webmasters!

I'm in Canada so we celebrated thanksgiving back in October. I know that many people travel home for this holiday. Since thanksgiving is on a Thursday when do people start traveling? earlier in the week? today?

Happy thanksgiving to all my American friends...

    Flying over the Pacific Ocean.

I think it's only technically Thursday for us for about an hour and a half.

I'm going to see the family out in Maricopa, AZ.

If you're from Arizona then you understand how horrible that is.

Che' has to work, and I'm still recovering from being really sick for over a week now, so I'll just roast off some turkey thighs and make some dressing, gravy, green beans and sweet potatoes. :chef:

Happy Turkey Day to all my US buddies!

    Skyler's Thanksgiving adventures to come!

Oh the holidays… it’s a love hate type of thing.

I am headed home early tomorrow morning for the long trek back to my place of birth… Battle Creek Michigan… ugh… mulletville. (not my family but the rest of the BC population). It’s only about a 60 mile drive from where I live now, so it’s not too long. Although with traffic and such it will probably suck, but that’s what CDs and a good sound system are for. The highways around here were starting to back up at 5pm today already. I was like damn that sucks.

But it’s normally like a million people at my parents’ house. They have the biggest house so it is always there. I’m excited to see everyone, but that excitement soon wears off… it soon becomes a mix of emotions… terror, contempt, disgust, fear, pain, etc. And then I go get a cocktail. My cousin and I are generally completely trashed within the first hour and don’t really care after that. Seriously it’s the only way to make it through one of my family gatherings. Normally my mom has locked herself in a bathroom crying. There are people fighting in every room. Someone has got their car stuck in the snow or a ditch somewhere. The TV is playing a football game and a million decibels. Kids are screaming and running around. And then there Dana and I sitting in the corner enjoying our own little party… LOL. Its fabulous.

Anyway… Hopefully that is an entertaining mental image of my family gathering.

    Love, Sky

FYI Non-Arizonans: Maricopa the town is NOT the same as Maricopa the county.

Maricopa County is almost 4 million people. Maricopa the town is a leeetle short of that~
