time is booked off; skis are always sitting by the door; all my family know to expect me NOT; car has been winterized and Gangster#1 (my puss) has a place to rest his old bones, for the time.

Yup, I am ready, to pass on th@ time of year. Best part is people like to stay at home during the festive time, so we (me & my tele crew) get the hills are to ourselves!

I purchased a schwack of gift cards and will be mailing them out next week, or so. My moms, my sis & I will do it up after.

Those of us lucky enough to live in Colorado always try to avoid the slopes the week before, AND AFTER Chirstmas. Mid-January to February is the best time for me. ;o)

We however plan to leave the snow behind this Christmas and find a nice palmtree to lie under and drink.

We will be shooting "The Stone Age" from December 15th-30th... so my holiday is packed, with 3 days off to fly home for X-Mas, then back to LA and right back to work.

Neato how it changes from country to country to continent. All the resorts in Alberta and BC get half the patrons they normally get. Around here, NewYears is the time to stay away from the resorts and do backcountry trips.

Typically, December is what most others consider cold (-20) so they flee. Like this and the last weekend: -25 to -32 and the hills were empty!

I make sure the house is decorated. I like the place to LOOK Christmasy. There were a couple of Christmases where circumstances prevented me from having stuff the way i liked it and it bummed me out.
