iPod Porn Discussion (Again)

Okay so im seriously thinking about encoding some gay DVDs in to the MPEG4 format for iPods and PSPs but i know we have discussed this in the past and it was hit or miss as to whether you folks thought it would be worth trying.

However, what im thinking, rather than just having a stand-alone site for this content that will allow members to download the movie scenes to their handheld devices was adding them in the members areas as 'bonus' content, i just wondered what you folks thought about this idea?

Do you think offering a range of iPod encoded movies would help retention at all, or do you think it wont make any difference at all?

I figure it doesnt hurt to at least give it a try and see how receptive surfers are to getting iPod compatible content.

I am not sure... I think people will use their computer to watch porn.
On the other hand who thought that people would buy expensive backgrounds and screensavers for their cell ?

Maybe some other WM's can tell you their experiences... there are sites offering movies in iPod format (8teenboy for example)

The general consensus seems to be that iPod porn is a good add-on, but not a good focus. It's simply not taking here in the States as it did in Asia and Europe. I think it would make great "bonus" content, but I wouldn't focus on it. That's just my third-party opinion, though.

you would have to make it very easy for them to add it, is there a one click add to your ipod system out there? i know some mainstream sites have something like that, 1 click pay and boom its on itunes and ready fto auto sync to the ipod next time its docked will make the sale much easier than having to download the file and move it then tell itunes to find it.

I have the 60gig video ipod a friend of mine loaded a couple of 5 min porn trailers on it for me. I think i looked at them once, two months ago, and have not looked at it since, The screen is too small, with the new slim laptops now, and wifi just about everywhere i think the idea of watching porn on your ipod has gone by the wayside. The idea of adding it as bonus content in your members area can't hurt, might help retention slightly, but i think most people just look at it as a novielty. besides the whole idea of the ipod is portable, that meaning your out of the house, on the street, in the Gym getting something to eat, waiting for the bus etc. Who wants to watch porn in those places? I like to watch my porn in the comfort of my own home, and for that i'll use my 52 inch LCD so i can see everything!

i know some people who DO watch porn on their ipods but mostly i think of having ipod porn as something else you can list in your tour and on your join page as an extra selling point.
