i read a couple , but "reading" is not enough for me (this needs a pic!) , unless the "author" is constantly "updating" it begins to resemble some historic and faded days gone by "anne frank" diary.
there are so many "blogs" to choose from , and so little time to read each and every one , has anyone ever read every book ever published?

I wonder if some blogs aren't taking us back through the TGP mistakes, giving away too much free porn... Yes, they may be getting more bookmarkers now, but when all bloggers go this route, blog traffic won't be as good as it is (or used to be).

The online journal, weblog, blog has grown in the last 10 years. The birth of blogger and live journals opened the doors to what now is a self contained blog site.
If you look at the structures – a lot of blogs have the main page “catch all” and subsections for cataloged posts. I want to just see movie reviews, I go to the movie review section and bypass filtering through the main page for the one review.
I think the next step to the blog is going to be…
People are going to understand the use of these subsections a little further and the blog will soon turn into what looks like a member’s area on a paysite. The content will be posted in the subsections and the front page will have select posts to keep people happy but hot hold everything.
Over a little more time, bloggers become free site program owners and the blog will become a CMS for other things. Still the hub for website updates but used for more than a journal post.

I agree with Annette here. A lot don't have much in the way of substance, though they certainly should as blogs allow for more than enough text and copy. I think that so long as blog sites have some personality and those that run blogs individualize them and give them some character, people will come back. Eventually they'll need much more than just free pics to attract and retain folk.
The blogs that do nothing but throw up pics and add nothing of their own to it will fall by the wayside.
Without even doing daily posts, I'm seeing some blogs I've setup hitting a higher PR in a few months ... lots higher than sites that went up even 4-5 years ago. Using additional filler that is keyword rich for the blog niche will certainly help as far as the SE goes of course. I actually see blog sites as becoming more of the longterm "freesite", especially as category sections get indexed. From that perspective, the showing of one or two pics of a particular gallery with a link to the sponsor's site as opposed to publishing 2 pages of galleries would really diminish the free pic saturation.
Blogs - then podCasting and now probably webinars. I have been doing on blog because typing the same thing over and over again got a bit tedious
We are starting to do Podcasting and I am starting to listen to those more because of TiVo. And since installing a new server - I am wanting to play with Live and see if we could potentially do webinars ourselves.
As the needs for increased bandwidth grows, I think more things will start becoming to some type of audio / video
Who knows - we might have to actually get dressed to 'go back to work' (for those of us who work at home) :innocent:
Well I hope I did not make it up LOL. But I went over to webopedia to make sure.
I was actually nominated for Microsoft MVP a couple of months ago and they send out sometimes 10-15 invites a week on things. (Funniest thing is that a lot of the people don't even know who to operate their own computer it seems when doing these - you definitely have to remember that what you see everyone else will see as well LOL )
Thanks for the reminder, Brian. I need to spend some more time developing my blog's personality.

I'm glad I found this thread.
One bloggers POV:
My site is a blog. I am a writer by trade, and have always been a writer - ever since I could hold a pencil and paper. I only ventured into the adult industry because my boyfriend is in this business and I wanted a piece of the pie too. We came up with the idea for a blog because I like to write. My inital idea was to write keyword rich text that would grab the attention of search engines. I would have a photo or video to go along with every post, because after all, it is porn.
The problem I am running into is that it seems like I've said everything there is to say with out repeating myself over and over again. There's only so many times you can say something like, "You have got to see his huge cock!"
This is leading to shorter entries. It has become difficult to update everyday because of this. I still plug away though, because I am determined to find something interesting to say about penises. I think this is just a bout of writer's block.

Not every adult blog needs to be just about naked guys and big cocks.
Are you into music? Movies? Funny photos or comic strips?
Add it into the mix and give an honest, non fluff post to break up the mundane post after post of "he has a big cock, OMG... Click this link!"
