Need recommendations for video splitting software for Mac's

Spent $1,200 for Sorenson for the Mac and had tons of problems with it. I found out today it is not supported for new Mac's with Intel chips. So I need another video splitter that can do all formats and something that will work with the new Mac's with the Intel chips. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Mark

    Hey, Mark,

I assume you mean encoder, not splitter... Sorenson would be a *very* expensive splitter

I don't know about Intel support specifically (or anything else on Mac), but Canopus Procoder is Sorenson's major competitor, and I'm pretty sure they have a pretty recent Mac version, so you might check that out.

I finally heard back from Sorenson. It looks like the problem is not with their program but with Real Player. At this time Real Player is refusing to send Sorenson an updated codec so this will work with the Mac's with the Intel Chips. They are working on a work around but they said even if they were able to it would be very slow. This is a huge bummer but I'm glad I am least heard back from Sorenson.
