Bananaguide.com?

I am trying to start off the new year with a fresh start, so would really like to talk with the people that run bananaguide.com to see if we can work out getting my sites listed. I am having trouble even finding where you submit sites that are not full members sites that is, and I see they are only taking like 12 free sites a week, so thought it might be best to talk about all this with them. I have seen a guy that works with them around here from time to time, but he’s normally very tight lipped.

BTW as I recall Bananaguide.com and JUB are the same people, but 100% sure they do anything more than work very closely with each other.

Bananaguide is not owned by the same people that own Justusboys. The owners name is Trevor and here is the contact form for site reviews, listings, etc...

Thax, I just sent them a message, but from what I recall they are not very responsive sometimes. I know they say they are separate companies from past talks, but their are allot of big similarities that make me think at least they use the same site review staff.

You're welcome Maxpower! Since it is the holiday's I'd give them until later next week to respond in the event they are out of town, or taking off for the holiday's.

I really have no idea if they use the same review people, which may be contracted, but I've known the separate owners of both sites pretty much since their inception.

Ya I have worked with Bananaguide.com and JUB from about the time they first opened too, just though now might be a good time to try to work out a way to create acceptable sites for both of them. Just seems the longer you make sites the more chances their are for problems getting listed. I really just hate to send them sites when they will only list 10% of them, rather if possible I would love find out what they really want, and send them the number of sites a week they want. I do have to pay for the content, and its a waist to submit sites that are not listed regularly.

I think I saw the Banana Guide guy around here yesterday so maybe he will see this, but if I do not get a response I will try again after the new year like you suggested.

Banana Guide isa Canadian company in Toronto-- totally separate from the warmer-climate, US company JUB.

I don't think I have seen them registered for Internext but I think they will be in San Francisco in February.

Go to a show and meet some people in person Max!! Most really do want to meet you, and I mean that in the nice way.

Ya man, I want to go as well I really think it will be allot of fun, and I will try to make a memorable impression even if its not 100% positive all the time. I just really work almost 24/7 on all these new sites I am opening so the time and money it cost me to do that stuff is not very easy for me right now. I am really in a phases right now where I am spending every extra dime I have on new content for my members and the new sites I am opening. Its not fun at all, but their is not success with out sacrifice.

But do still think Banana Guide and JUB must be connected is some ways, they have been accepting the same sites at the same time for years now. Now as far as them being owned by the same people ya sure probably not, but the similarities are very striking.

The relationship between Just Us Boys and BananaGuide is that we are direct competitors. Why you would assume that competitors are owned by the same company is a mystery to me.

In the left column navigation on our home page there is a link to our feedback form under both "Contact Us" and "Webmasters." I generally respond within 48 hours of receiving an email through this form.

Max, there are the XBiz Awards coming up in February in LA. If you are still in Long Beach, you can go without travel and hotel costs.

I am not sure when the next LA show would be, although there are a group of noted undesirables that somehow get together for webmaster lunches in the LA area :donmike:

Thax man, I sent you a really short message today just did not want to ramble on to long, and really like to talk on the phone but chat is fine too. I would really love to work out a acceptable way I could send you some free sites. Its just been years now since I have been able to work with you, and would love the opportunity if at all possible.

Sorry I was not trying to insult your site or anything, I really have always liked your service. I just always have thought both your service has some similarities as far a sites you accept is all.

I will really try to do that man, I do think more face to face stuff would be allot more productive. I can guarantee with-in the next 6 months I will start attending more of these things, not that I think I could offer to much as far as new info to some of the lustrous attendees, but it would still be really nice to be included.
