Which Type Of Site Makes You The Most Money?

Just curious to see the types of sites that are currently making webmasters the most money in the gay market presently, i know over the last few years the marketplace so far as 'what works' has changed several times and nobody has really spoken about this in public so, heres our chance

For me, it appears that the niche-specific free site pulls in the most revenue. Certainly, the conversion ratio is best from the niche-specific free site for me. It's a guess, as my best sponsor doesn't track where the hits come from, and my enterprise is still way too small.

Movie Sites are a great sale these days especially if the content you are offering up is of High Quality.

With the domination of AEBN and Other companies offering up Pay Per View, A surfer is more likely to make a One Time Purchase over having to whip out that credit card everytime they enter the site..

For me - the rule is content is king. All my websites are heavily infused with lots of writing.

For me that works, because all my marketing and traffic comes from the search engines, and I do not really rely on link lists or link trades --- well I don't rely on them for -traffic- anyways.

For example - if you type Julio Vidal - a popular gay porn star - into Google, my site's spotlight page on him appears first. That keyword brings in lots of new surfers daily, and since I already know those folks are Julio Vidal fans, I'm all ready to sell them things with his smiling visage on them.

So for that case, rather then maybe getting a sale out of 500+ clickthroughs, I've already pre-qualified the prospect, and I can get a sale after maybe just 50 to 100 surfers.

There are advantages and disadvantages to a content site. But at the end of the day, it is a numbers game. The more page views you receive means the more clicks you send to your affiliate programs, thus you eventually get sales and signups.

I'm way behind the times. I still think of AEN as AVS. But then again...I still call Cyberage AgeCheck. Is there hope for me or am I destined to be stuck in the dark ages?

I vote for AVS sites as well... but not the old-style AVS sites. I earn the most from AEN networks. However, UKNM is fast approaching (and soon will surpass) my AVS/AEN income. I've worked on my AVS/AEN sites for 6 years (I think) but that single paysite should beat that income in less than a year.
