BananaGuide is. It's sounds like something different and we've never been to the GayVNs before.

I think the reason you haven't been to one is, far as I know, there hasn't been one

The GayVN *show* in Vegas has always been something like a half dozen booths at the regular AEE show, with no specialized programming or parties for gay industry people, so this one should be an interesting event. I'm just concerned about how many people will actually attend.

Who knows. Hopefully within a year or two we'll get back to where there are a couple of shows a year that we all know will be well attended. Part of the reason I want to go is to meet some new people, more of the "traditional" gay porn crowd, who don't attend the Internet shows. Besides, I love San Francisco!

As posted recently elsewhere, why go to a show when it is the same power sponsors.

SHOWS... a party... Been THERE, Done THAT.

These days, when smaller webmasters/paysitemasters and wannabes could afford a vacation, I think they can't. To make money now adays is to work seven days a week. Shows like GAYVN do not provide an easy answer to newbees... or do they?

Let the power brokers run the show. They need the tax-write-offs.

If you are a new or small content provider (write me), or a webmaster thinking that your new paysite will take the internet by storm, READ all that is available here at gaywidewebmasters, especially the history.

GAYVN.. the gay aspect NO LONGER shoved into a forgotten corner. Hmmm

From what i have been told, the gay ghetto was actually done away with this time around in Vegas.

Took them long enough, who knows, maybe in another 5 years they will start listening to what attendees actually want at these shows, if they are still around in 5 years.

Steve and I will most definitely be there! Neither of us have been to San Francisco before. When I lived in L.A. I never went up to SF. This should be exciting! Plus it will be the best way to see friends of mine who stumbled into porn. I.E. Derek Hanson and Matt Cole.

The host hotel is walking distance from my house. Some people will have walk farther just to get parking! And the line for the Castro Theater snakes right past my boyfriend's door.

I'll be there - as long as it's not inconvenient.
