Well, their site never really says or gives you an idea how much content they do have in their member's area.

But yeah, i'd be pissed off.

Indeed, lots of sites started off that way and i really do often wonder why we dont start re-educating the surfers/webmaster that standards need to be lowered back to the golden years in porn where a single free site (10-20 pics) could make the sites owner $5k+ in the space of a weekend.

Then i realize there is so much fucking free porn out there until that is done away with the bar is constantly going to be raised when it comes to paysites to keep up with the influx of new free porn hitting the web.

I give it 3 months MAX before we start seeing sponsors offering HD content for free on hosted galleries, free sites, etc etc etc.

The problem is, sponsors dont realize that the more free porn they put out there, the more money they are going to have to spend long term to remain profitable whilst their profit margins slowly but surely dwindle to negligable amounts.

Do you know why you haven't seen my Viaitalia.us site up and running yet? Probably not, it's not porn. But if you have, it's because I don't have all the content yet up on it. It isn't a pay site, but I believe you shouldn't advertise a gallery (content) section unless it is filled with an appropriate amount of content for the membership fee paid. So if your site isn't fully up yet, don't charge. Because if I paid for a membership and then a month later after it expires, a lot more content is added, I'd be pissed. You don't wanna see Pickles pissed. :snake:

Then what is the point of a rebill?

You would give all content up front and offer nothing new on the following month?

Id love to know what webmasters consider to be an appropriate amount of content, because as far as surfers/members are concerned, there is never enough content inside a members area.... Because we have spoilt them so much giving them more and, more and, more and, more...

You could (and some companies do) offer surfers access to thousands upon thousands of downoadable DVD quality movies, in thousands of niches, they will still bitch that there 'isnt enough' for the $24.95 they have paid for access to those 1000's upon 1000's of movies... Which is considerably cheaper than actually going to an adult store and buying ONE DVD.

The fact is, we need to be offering surfers/members LESS inside paysites, on tgp galleries, free sites and AENs, so that we [webmasters] can actually have some sort of control over the porn industry, instead of it being driven buy the surfers demands.

Good point. I wonder though how old the content is on the site in question. I would give new content each month. But I wouldn't advertise the content until I had content backed up. Content on supply that is. So if I only had a certain amount to offer, I'd have a few months to find new content to offer.

when we had the Fratpad's free trial, we had a full site going like 18 hours a day.. cam shows.. guys together in showers, jack off sessions all day long, stunts, pranks, great shows all day long...

people would complain that the guys only jacked off three or four times a day, even though it was free for all.

Exactly, and its going to take many more years to untrain them from this way of thinking than it took to give them that perception in the first place.

Who knows, perhaps if webmasters stop giving everything away for free, or giving everything away for $29.95 a month by the year 2200 we might have surfers realizing that they need to pay on a regular basis again for porn.

Then again, i could be living in a dream world because 99.99% of todays affiliates really dont care about longevity of the business.

That's so true.

I think that the fact that it was SO easy to make money doing this a few years back made a bunch of idiots who were just in it for beer money to make a fortune over night and then fuck it up for the rest of us who actually wanted to create good content and have this as our careers.

not that you can blame them. Many of us would just jump at the chance of fast money with little effort if we weren't thinking about hte long-term of our decisions and we didn't care to.

But it IS nice that all the "beer money" people seem to have moved on, isn't it?

and yet most of the rebills in the old days were because members didn't realize there was such a thing as rebills and chargebacks and refunds were lots higher.

i have a bunch of revshare sponsors where the average sale to me is over $50 per member. no real surprise here that it's because they offer lots of quality content and regular updates.
