    Custom T-Shirts...

Does anyone have any reccomendations for a company i can use to get a hundred or so tshirts customized?

Also, would you say that heat transfer, screen printing or embroidering 'looks' best when it comes to the custom graphic on the shirt itself?

    Regards,

    Lee

When I worked in the touring entertainment biz years ago, we did a lot of t-shirts with different printing methods.

embroidery in my opinion looks really sharp and stands out. Of course, if it's a really large design, then another method might be better because the cost of embroidery is directly proportional to size of the design. We got some nice Gaybucks shirts and I think it was about $10 each for a large back design in very small quantity (10 pieces)for the embroidery, plus the shirt cost. It would probably drop by about 50% for 100.

Silk screen can look amazing or shitty, depemding on the printer. A lot cheaper than embroidery, though... at quantity 100, you can probably get a 3 or 4 color design of any size for about a buck a shirt (printing cost) if you look around (I could give you some suggestions if you need.)

I personally don't like transfer because it isn't very durable, has the white underlay, and tends to look funky on any fabric that's remotely stretchy.

Ad Specialty shirts price out in dozens, and I'd screen print on the best quality 90% cotton mix shirt offered.

    Things to keep in mind..

Double check they are 1st quality, and not "seconds".

You'll see a jump in cost as you add colors. Sometimes it's less costly to choose a colored T and single ink color.

Using a local vendor, found under Advertizing Specialities in your phone book, shouldn't cost more, and might even save you- in the long run. The guy I used here in town, has all the contacts and knows all the vendors that are running specials. Their client services also assisted me with design decisions, that side-stepped some costly mistakes.

Don't know about this biz though .. LOL .. I don't even print my cards here! :curtain:

Yes! Once you have done a run, and the template is made- it doesn't cost a fortune to get another 2 doz made.

Oh .. and if you screen print .. put it on the back.

I' used MerchSpin in the past for a big order (like 1500+ shirts, 5K flyers, filling swag bags, etc. all of which printed & shipped in a rush). I think they are based in Orlando, FL.

I dealt with Alex, he did an AMAZING job, customer service at it's finest. I could always get in contact with him, great rates, they also arranged for delivery to another location for us AND he did a follow up call. Awesome company, IMO! :cheerleader:

    Check them out:
