    JUB Links Manager?

I must say I am a bit excited I sent 4 sites to JUB and 2 were accepted and 2 where rejected. I am not sure which of our JUB board members are a “Links Manager” but would love to prefect these sites or just know what the real problem was with other 2 sites. If you happen to have anything to do with the approval process for JUB please PM me so I hope we can work this out. :maxpower:

What started all this was my yearly traffic tests in which JUB free site traffic is up almost 50% over last year (around 450 hits in the first month each free site) I would suggest everyone take another look at JUB now if you do not have them in your link package. Not that its a huge amount of traffic or anything, but sounds like it might me worth another look.

Ya I hope so its just been such a up and down relationship in the past I would really like to get it at least stabilized if possible. Is kind of weird to get ˝ accepted and the other half rejected, but gives me hope it might be easy to fix.

    Hey there,

Andy does the directory approvals. He should have listed any reasons why a site wasn't approved in the decline email. But I'll be sure he sees this thread and responds to you.

    Cheers,
    Bryce

It gave a reason but was a very vague, and generic response. I must say I would rather be notified about a problem than them just not listing the site. So don’t think I am bitch too much about it at all, would just love to work things out when he comes around.

I never have problems with JUB, their actually one of the better directories in the sense that they tell you why your rejected (in my case i forget to add the recip most often) - many dont even let you know that they arnt listing you. That bugs me because how can i fix it if i dont know whats up?

    Hey Maxpower,

First off, thanks for the submissions.

The reason those two sites where rejected is the use of "Teen", "Boy", and "Teen Boy" in the titles and descriptions. Please feel free to change those words, or make an alternative version without them for us and we will be happy to list it.

With the use of those words and with the guys looking so young, it could be implied pretty easily that the models may have not been the proper age to be in porn. We are just a bit sensitive that that issue.

    Thanks!
    Andy

You'll get more with a kind word and a 2 by 4 then you'll get with just a kind word.

NP ok, I guess we will just have to see how things work out man, it will be all but impossible not to use the word “boy” as in (Beanie Boy Brandon) or any other title that is using a “B” word. But the combination of the words in titles and images that in a reviewers opinion look really really young, I am sure will be far in-between, or far enough that I should not have to worry that much I guess.

If you should ever have a problem with any of the images I can always provide documents if you need them. I look forward to sending you guys a few sites a week, and will try to work with you in way I can.

    Thanks SEan

I'm wondering what's up with submissions to gayblogdirectory. Listed some sites weeks ago and nothing up yet.

    Hey Max,

It's more of a cumulative effect. The word "Boy" as used in "Beannie Boy Brandon" won't get your rejected. Afterall we are JustUs"Boys"

It's when you have the world "teen" and "teen boy" plus young looking guys as a theme that it becomes a slippery slope.

    I hope that helps clarify.

Ya I understand man, its cool. I will try to watch the word boy in the titles a bit, but like you said sometimes its going to be hard to get around the combination of the word boy or teen in titles of sites that a reviewer might also think the guys look really young. (in fact these are Teen Boy sites after all) But all this said I belive I can get 2/3-1/2 or more of the sites approved and I can live with that

Its all cool, Just glad to be sending sites to Just Us Boys now too. :x

It's great that JUB is so diligent in the sites they are approving. Even with a site as big and diligent as theirs some slip through the cracks. Googling teen boy on JUB brings some results including rapidshare links to content for a russian teen boy orgy, something about boylove, and a few other links.

Speaking of rapidshare you guys might want to look at your forum posts to rapidshare videos of producers content. Seems members are talking about their favorite models/sights and linking to rapidshare videos of content they should pay for.. like BrokeStraightBoys, etc.

It's a tough job you guys have and keeping those forums in check has GOT to me a monumental task. You guys are doing a great job and I'm just pointing out a couple things I came across. Keep up the great work!
