I'm not going to say that. But it's not really a surprise, is it?

She was like the female Elvis. Everyone in the world including her friends, family and peers watched her self-destruct and did nothing about it. Tragic really. Surrounded by scum leeches that suck her dry and do nothing to help her.

Last night I had dinner with Kent Taylor, and Bobby Trendy sat down at our table and joined us. I wrote about it on Lavender Lounge Blog, then checked the news and saw ANS it dead. Weird.

Been watching this on Fox news here.. pretty sad how they are ripping her to pieces. She wasn't a *********, she was a new mother who just lost her oldest son, for whatever reason she had to marry her lawyer, it's sad.

The media ate her up alive and are ripping her to pieces dead. I feel for the daughter she leaves behind.

Very unfortunate, some on TV are forgetting her infant daughter will be growing up without her mom, not to mention the mess that will ensue over all of the money she's left behind

Her mother on CNN in October after Anna's son's death:
"If Howard Stern marries her and she ends up dead, then who does the money go [to]? Danny's not there," Arthur said.

Sounds like it! I used to work for Bobby Trendy when I lived in L.A. 2004-2005 and I used to hear a lot about Anna Nicole. I didn't see this coming. Although if I had thought a little about it, I think it was a depression caused suicide.

i'm shocked at how catty the news is about her. apparently having large breasts and blond hair is the excuse to not take her seriously as a person and to be so completely disrespectful of a fellow human being who has never done anything serious wrong to anyone - or certainly not anything any of us know about.

people die who have done FAR worse things to far more people than anna nicole who are spoken about in the media with far more respect. in fact, i don't think i've ever seen ANY news report of someone's death that was as rude and mean, with such smug overtones, as the ones i just saw.

RIP anna nicole smith.

What news channels are all of you watching?! I've been watching CNN and I haven't heard anyone being outrageously catty. Of course Nancy Grace has been calling in and giving her COMPLETELY slanted take on things. She can go rot in hell. But other than that, CNN has been rather respectful.

I'm watching Fox.. CNN here in Australia is CNN International.. so we don't get the same feeds you get in the states.

Sadaam got more respect on the coverage of his death. I never heard anyone say about Sadaam "he was a train wreck" "It wasn't surprising that it came to this"

The media has made a fortune off her, and this is how they treat her in the end.

But her life WAS a train wreck...at least from the outside looking in.

Granted, I don't know her, or the details, etc. etc. etc. AND I AM NOT SAYING THAT SHE GOT WHAT SHE DESERVES...

But...

Well, it's a completely true statement... at least in my opinion. She garnered attention only because of her big breasts and wildly erratic behaviour. It was inevitable that she would flame-out. I don't think calling her a "train-wreck" is anything but stating a fact.

I will personally miss her. She was fascinating. And I hope a movie is made of her life... and not just some made-for-TV crap but a real Hollywood movie. She deserves that.

Come on, do you really think it has anything to do with her breasts? The woman was dumb as dirt. She was a walking cartoon. I simply never heard an intelligent thing come out of her mouth. The only thing I'm sorry about is that Paris Hilton wasn't lying on the ground at Anna Nicole's feet when she fell over.

I'm appalled that they're wasting air time talking about this. Likewise, I'm appalled that 20 schools in the Pittsburgh area are going to be shut down because of budget cuts, but the city is considering financing a new hockey arena because the Pittsburgh Penguins are threatening to leave the city without a new place to play hockey. Anna Nicole is the epithomy of what is wrong with the U.S.. Most of the country has their priorities so fucked up they can't even see the decline of their own civilization.

Give me a fucking break.

Like Anna Nicole is the only celebrity with a tumultuous life? So many of them are off their nut.

It seems in her death, as in her life, she has the attention of the public, even those who didn't like her. You just can't help but to watch and talk about her :bunny:
