Yes, sweety, I am aware of it! ALL my sites are down. I've been hacked for about the fifth time this week.

We're moving all the files to a new box, but it will take about 48 hours.

I'm away from home (in LA), making it even more difficult to communicate.

    Stay tuned.

Ouch that sucks. FIVE times! jeez.
What exactly are hackers after? Do most just want to mess stuff up?

Setup a new set of weird, new alphanumeric passwords. I finally did this. I have a little spiral notebook that I sleep with. It contains them. I sleep better at night now too

That totally sucks, I wish you the best of luck getting things back in order. Smart move to change servers too, its very likely they permanently comprimised the server you are on and starting fresh is the only guaranty of a clean site.

    cheers,

I would also have to wonder what's going on with either the security of the scripts you're running or the security update status of the server. It's one thing to get hacked once, but if it's happening over and over, either your ISP/admin isn't keeping the box locked down properly or there's a vulnerability somewhere that's allowing repeated access.

Switching to a new box will help, but if you have a script with a vulnerability in it, you'll just bring the same exploit to a new box. I just recently had a problem with an old version of VBulletin on one of our (non-adult) servers that allowed an exploit giving the hacker root access. It was a pain, but we upgraded VBulletin, re-imported the data, moved the entire install to a new server, and everything has been locked down and fine since then.
