Pickles first started feeling icky early this week. Then the same crud started hitting me on Thursday. Chills, muscle aches, coughing.

Last night we pulled ourselves together and went to the grocery store, dressed like Charlton Heston's mother and sister from Ben Hur during their stint at the leper colony.

Actually it's not that bad. And it was good to stock the kitchen back up on food. I was completely out of grapefruit and strawberries.... I'm juicing twice daily. I have enough apples and celery here to feed Fort Hood.

We went by Magnolia Cafe and ordered hot food. The Magnolia sandwich and chicken quessadilas for me, and Pickles ordered their Popeye omlette with canteloupe and pineapple (a popeye omlette has spinich in it).

I'm very grateful that I have a 24hr eatery right around the corner from my apt. I go there all the time in the middle of the night after many hours of writing webpages.

I just came down with an awesome sinus infection. I slept for 13 hours straight. Now I have happy meds.

I'd send you guys my special chicken noodle soup and my special high octane medicine but I don't think it would make it across the border or still be hot by the time it arrived.

Believe it or not, my favorite remedy for congestion is Chinese Won Ton soup.

I hope you guts get to feeling better. I have had great luck with those vicks shower tablets. You just put it at the bottom of your shower, take a hot one...and the steam floats up and clears everything out.

Drink lots of fluid, get lots of rest.
