Doing U.S. business in Canada

Would anyone know if I need a special permit to promote other websites in Canada? Who would I claim taxes to?

I don't think you need a permit, and I do think you need to claim it on your taxes - but you REALLY should ask an accountant about this stuff.

If you are Canadian then all the money you make should be reported to Revenue Canada, whether you earn it here or in the US.
