Review of Fratmen Alumni Weekdn 5: Australia (Shameless Self Promotion)

OK, I'm pretty proud of this, not only because we got a 5-star review on it, but becuase they really liked my documentary, too.

All five of the guys did a great job, and John was in peak form directing that week.

I’d move into the house that’s used as the setting for this flick, in Australia, right on the beach, and I’d never leave. Glass walls on the back side of the house keep the ocean, beach and palms in your field of vision at all times, and the hardwood floors and tropical wicker furniture draw you in immediately and give you a sense of how relaxing it would be, even though you’re not there.

This Fratmen offering stars 5 young and toned men visiting Australia and, as you learn in the documentary on the second disc, having the time of their lives. Most of the DVD consists of solo jack off scenes, with a little action between two of them thrown on at the end. It’s all beautifully shot meticulously crafted. As with other Fratmen offerings, there’s no annoying musical background, just the sounds the guys would be hearing themselves, the ocean surf, the slap of their hands against their dicks, the running water of the glassed in shower or the splashes of the lap pool.

This one opens with Landon, waking up in boxers to sit on the side of the bed, stretch, and look out over the pool, palms, and the ocean beyond.

Then Damon sits in trunks on the deck, taking in the sun and the ocean surf in front of him. He retreats inside where he lounges on a padded wicker chair to catch up on a little reading before putting the book down and concentrate on himself.

Then David, the hottest thing on the DVD, takes a dive into the lap pool and swim for a bit, before he jumps out, without his trunks, and dries himself off against the backdrop of the glass walls of the house, the ocean reflected behind him. He wraps a towel around himself and falls onto one of the sofas in the pristine, white ocean front property and then lazily begins running his hands over his own body. He takes off the towel and brings in a small dildo, leading to him climax, which is…let’s just say this guy can shoot. And he not loves to shoot over his head, he loves to shoot himself in the face, several times, which he does twice in this film, with almost no effort.

Riley takes a shower, then heads back to the bedroom, where he pumps against the soft white comforter before shooting all over his stomach.

Disc one ends with Spencer, who’s been interspersed throughout the film in between the other scenes, in the shower with David. They wash each other, which leads to some 69 among other things, and then end up next to each other in bed, jacking off while watching some video on the screen in front of them. David ends this one just as amazing, shooting high and far, over his body and splashing into his face and mouth, which he licks off as he comes down. This guy knows how to end a scene.

The second disc is a “making of” documentary, which is done fairly often in recent years, but not anywhere near as well as this one. This doc isn’t about the sex scenes, or how the camera angles are done, etc. Instead it follows the crew and the guys all the way through the initial plane trip to arriving at the house, then on through shooting schedules to the end. There’s almost no attention to shooting of the actual scenes or stills though, which is a good thing. Instead they follow the guys around, from playing in the surf to hiking to eating to individual interviews. The performers are far from egotistical, in fact they all seem very thankful that they have the opportunity to travel to Australia, stay at this fabulous house and frolic in the surf.

When you hear the director explain that each day they had to buy about $350 worth of food that the guys ate every day and had to be replenished the next with just as much, you have laugh a little and remember what it was like to be able to eat like that and maintain the gorgeous bodies these young men have. It’s a great documentary and a welcome sight to see.

This one is a solid, well made and entertaining offering from Fratmen
