    Failing Industry?

With all the talk or changing business models, and LL’s saying they are no longer as profitable as they need, is the bubble bursting? Seems to me we are on a down hill skid, where we have too market more and more free content and sites that take longer and longer too create to less and less interested viewers.

Personally all this is concerning, seems things are not going in a good direction, and a new medium might be the only way out. Where do you see the industry in 10-20 years? At this rate not sure their will be anything of worth for the next generation. :baby:

Max, one link list is changing its policy and to be fair, i agree with them. AVS is declining because they accept the basic minimum that webmasters are willing to build. Surf any link lists and youll see it.

Avs is going down, were left with free sites. Do you want to loose that too?

THat is my point man, we have lost AVS now we are losing Free sites too. JUB by far is not the only ones doing this just the largest players.

I know you do not remembers the UGAS nightmare that contributed in my opinion to the Death of all AVS sites, but now many of the big LL’s are doing basically the same things and using the same lame excuses as UGAS did back in the day.

Is not the definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results?

UGAS is a nightmare, full stop.

Max, Im one of the few people in this industry who welcomes .xxx. Why? Because it will get rid of the webmasters who make fuck all and fill the net with free porn.

Free porn is MEANT to be about showing a few pics to get a surfer interested and then selling them the whole thing. Now its about the surfer getting what they want for free and never ever paying for porn because they dont have to.

Link lists tightening up means less people submitting crap. Thats less free porn and thats cool by me.

Ill admit i build the sites that jub are now banning but i will follow the new rules. Why? Because you will have all that great traffic who are not exposed to shite day in day out and who will trust more. If they could introduce a small fee for their service, it would be my idea of heaven but i dont see that happening.

My problem with this decision is that i still dont know what they want to me to build. My plan is to email a whole bunch of questions which im guessing they will answer as they seem pretty helpful.

Why do you do the same?

Wasn't your "OPEN THREAD" enough? Why are you starting a new thread with the same tired-horse theme?

Look Max... the good old days when you splashed a few images in a template are over.

This issue with Link Lists is that they are tired of junk, some submitting ten, twenty, fifty sites a day, thinking they will get rich fast. That "make-it-rich" boat left the shore years ago. Only the program owners win with their branded name constantly in the surfers face.

I am glad of the JUSTUSBOYS decision. It is about time that "free-sites" be as they once were years ago, sites that offered a special bookmarkable experience in of themselves. Alas, most of the creative people have moved on to creating blogs.

Because its not my first time around the block man, I have seen all this before. I guess some of these things might sounds good, and many years ago when AVS first start talking this mess I did believe them.

But man I did talk to the people at JUB for many days before I made the thread, and I wish you all the luck in the world with jumping though those hoops, but I think this will just turn out as a learning experience for you.

I will ask you in 6 weeks in PM how it worked out and I guess we will see.

I am for a law agents any non password protected XXX content that I took some crap for. I think X or soft dick is all that should be offered for free, I also think this could turn around some of the BIG problems we all have. Much better than forcing people to create huge free sites, that take too long to create and get so little traffic you could make more money selling roses on the side of the road.

The more free content and superior sites we offer viewers the less need they see to pay for anything. In fact most people think its their right to get all the free content they want, and would never even pay you a dime

The industry isn't failing. Companies are evolving. And you've long since been left behind.

That's the thing, though. The vast majority of our affiliates who I notified of removal from our affiliate program responded positively, understanding that sometimes companies' interests diverge and that's just the nature of the game.

You, on the other hand, get your panties in a bunch thinking people are out to get ya.

    You don't understand business.

No I truly do want what’s best for webmasters, site owners, LL operators, and so forth. Its just when one of these groups tries their best to exterminate one of the others especially after years of cooperation then YES “ My panties get in a bunch”

I don’t think you understand ethics, and would sell anyone down the river if you could make a few extra bucks out of it, but again that’s just my opinion. Its not like I have EVER promoted your sites, or will so it does not matter that much I guess

I really have better things to do that argue with you man, I mean it does relive some stress but not sure it makes me or you many friends

If there's a single affiliate out there whose entire business and livelihood depended on being able to promote CorbinFisher.com - while at the same time referring so little traffic that they'd be among those whose accounts were let go - then they don't deserve to be in business.

We didn't terminate them, they terminated themselves.

You find me a webmaster who has been put out of business by our decision to privatize our affiliate program and I'll find you a webmaster who shouldn't have been in business in the first place.

Same goes for webmasters dependent upon a single link list or directory to survive.

Do you post on every webmaster board online? What of the hardworking webmasters running those other boards who aren't getting enough activity and traffic on their boards? Shouldn't you, as a webmaster, support their boards and go post there as much as here? Do you advertise on every webmaster resource online? Do you use every single billing processor out there? No. You choose which ones to interact and engage with depending on how you feel it will benefit you.
