Buying traffic and how it works

I know there have been many threads on the board about the pros and cons of buying traffic, but can someone expain to me how the process works. ie i am looking for tageted traffic, muscle/hunk type traffic. Does most of this come from tgp's or exit traffic? i guess clicked traffic is the best? who are the most reliable companies that sell traffic. some site owners and webmasters tell me they have had good success with buying traffic, and it is a simple numbers game, where they spend $1000 and get back $1150 in sales, so they keep a steady flow of purchased traffic comming in. Others have told me it did not convert enough to offset the cost. I was reffered to a few companies that sell niche/clicked traffic however they had allocated all this traffic, so someone is buying it and making money on it. Any advice, opinions, or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Buying Traffic can be very hit and miss. I have had really great results, and really bad results. The most important thing is where the traffic is coming from and how qualified it is...Some traffic brokers claim they have loads of traffic, and they very well may, but is it traffic that will convert? That's what you have to find out for yourself.

I've done a lot of trial and error with my sites & traffic sources. For example most most popular site will convert 1:86 with a great qualified traffic source, but the exact same site receiveing traffic from a different location that is not quality, will convert 1:534.

My advise would be to look up SEO traffic brokers like Traffic Dude, or Express Submit. Both have great search engine traffic. Althought it's all CPC (Cost per click), so I dont know if that's what you want. You'll have to pay a higher rate to get the popular search key words.

Another option is buying flat rate traffic/banner space...Also can be very good if your site converts. But if it doesnt then you paid for a crummy spot.

Most traffic brokers will advise what the traffic is good for.

I would start with Gallery spots. You get x number of visitors to your tgp gallery and its up to you to get them to click through.

I had good results with buy gay traffic gallery spots with broke straight boys. 50k hits to the galleries got 5 sign ups at 1:142. Not all the traffic went to broke straight boys galleries. Other sponsors did nothing.

Id say sites that you already get very good ratios with should get returns. With buy gay traffic they do 50k gallery hits for $25 so you need 1 sale on pps so to me its well worth the risk.

I had a pro designed gallery - im told by just about everyone that i should have had an amateur gallery so dont waste your money on a designer!

Actually do you currently build tgp galleries? If your buying gallery spots you may aswell submit them too.

Theres a great list of good tgps here:
