Question About NetBilling To Anyone In The Know..

I just wondered how different using NetBilling is in terms of processing porn site transactions than using a 3rd party processor such as CCBill?

What additional scripting/programming is required on the programs end to start processing sales through NetBilling?

Also, im presuming that having NetBilling cut checks for affiliates isnt an option, if that is correct, what methods have anyone currently using them found to handle this process, do you do them 'in-house' or farm the work out?

There's a lot of new stuff im working on behind the scenes in terms of affiliate programs right now and its looking more and more like NetBilling is going to have to be the avenue i take with some of these new projects, i just want to make sure i know all the information im going to need in terms of actually starting to process sales, once i have them setup.

    Regards,

    Lee

    Lee,

The biggest difference with netbilling is that you must aquire a high-risk merchant account. The few banks that issue US merchant accounts only issue them a few times a year. Or at least that was the case a few years ago.

The second biggest difference is the fees. Instead of paying 11-14% with a thirdparty processor, you're total processing fees are going to be mor elike 6-7%.

I don't believe netbilling offers an affiliate program. So you'll need your own affiliate script, custom or off theshelf like nats or mpa. Paying webmasters isn't a terrible ordeal but can be time consuming. Though with nats or mpa the payout reports can be spit out in quickbooks format. So, its just a matter of importing the payout file into quickbooks, loading the printer, and then stuff the envelopes. Its a little more involved but thats the gist.

Another nice difference is no more waiting 2-3 weeks for approval on new sites.

Yeah, thats what's nice about the merchant account..daily desposits. The 3rd party processors hold your funds for a few weeks..yielding interest. Imagine just the interest income from holding $100 million at any given time at the average conservative yield of 5% or so. That's $5 milion annually just in interest. I do know the the owner of CCbill wears a $100k watch and takes a private jet to and fro.

    Joe,

Have you guys used both NATs and MPA3?

I know you have NATs presently but didnt you use MPA previously?

If so, which of the two offers the best reporting/integration options in your opinion?

    Regards,

    Lee

We used MPA3 before switching to NATS in December 05. NATS has greater reporting. Their tech team has dramatically improved too.

Don't forget that with netbilling you can also control your scrub rates, allowing you to be more risky if you chose.

Lee, if you want more info on Executive Stats, please let me know. NationalNet is an Executive Stats partner so I can get you more info direct and can even sell you the product

You are absolutely correct on all points Joe. Thank you for being a valued NETbilling merchant for years now. We have started to have a large presence in the gay market as more and more owners have relalized the many benefits of having your own merchant account and utilizing a processor such as us that specializes in tha type of processing and call center services.

We hope to meet many of you at the GayVN retreat in LA next month.

Netbilling is great, I wish we would have used them more earlier.. as the amount of control is wonderful.
