    I really love craigslist

Today, I was looking for a laptop, as I do not have one, and wanted one for when I go to Phoenix. I was just about to walk into frys, and I was browsing over craigslist on my phone... I found this Laptop

    Dell Latitude c840
    P4 2.0ghz
    1gb memory
    DVD rom
    CD/rw
    Floppy
    Wireless card

This was way more computer than what I need in a laptop, as I prefer doing most tasks on my desktop. I think I got a great deal on it though. I paid $275 for it. I looked on ebay and the same laptop is selling for between $499-650. You guys think it was a great deal as well?

Craigslist is amazing. I've been using it since 2000, when I moved to the Bay area, and friends here have used it since the mid-90s.

There were some particularly breathaking deals during the dotcom meltdown, when all the early 20s Internet "millioinaires" were selling off all of their creature comforts before moving home to Nebraska with mom and dad

I have used craigslist for approx 3-4 years now. That is one site that I use on a daily basis. Sometimes I am still amazed when I talk about it, and people have never heard of it!

Craigslist is brilliant. Saw the founder of Craigslist on The Daily Show a week or so ago as the guest (or was it the Colbert Report? Don't remember). Either way, very smart guy! Seemed like he might be gay, too!

CL isn't as big in Tampa as it was when I lived in, say, Los Angeles. You could use it for anything in L.A. - hiring employees, finding jobs, finding roommates, buying concert tickets or anything else (like a quicker and easier eBay), and it's also a huge personals/hookup site.

I have used it for so many things. Most of the stuff I buy now days I try to find on there. I found my loft that I currently live in, car, have bought tickets, computer, camera stuff, models, and well, of course, who HASN'T used the M4M section? LOL

haha even if you don't use the m4m section to hook up, it's still worth checking out for pure entertainment value. There's some downright hilarious stuff on there amidst all the hot stuff.

Also, the Missed Connections section can be a fun read also.

I could spend hours on Craigslist!

And yeah, the house I live in now I found on Craigslist!

I missed all that. I was still busy being jealous of the millionaires while, at the same time, the millionaires were destructing

I've never spent more than a few minutes on craigslist. It's such an unattractive site and impossible to navigate and actually find what you are looking for. I suppose simplicity has it's charm but it just doesn't do it for me... give me some graphics to look at.

Craig Newmark is not gay - the reason he started the site was to pick up girls, and the rest of the site just happened by accident.

You do realize by 'gay' I mean a man who has sex with other men?
