    Nikon D40X

Nikon comes to the market with a new model DSLR - 10mgp D40X

While it inherits many advanced digital and optical technologies from professional models, the D40X and its sister model, the D40, are Nikon’s smallest, most compact digital SLR cameras. By offering everyone mobility, ease-of-use and incredible pictures with great resolution, the D40X welcomes everyone to the world of Nikon digital SLR photography.

It would have been hard to imagine a 10mgp a few years back!

I actually switched from 'cool blue' nikon to 'warm vibrant' Cannon a few years back, It was an expensive switch with all the lenses and accesories but I'm so pleased I did Cannon pics are so much warmer for porn.

    just my 2c

    Nice looking camera though

my son has a guy he works with who uses only top of the line nikons and his stuff shot with the D80 does look good. still, we love canon's quality and low light performance and can't imagine switching.

Myself, I use a Nikon D70s - LOVE IT! I couldn't see going down in body to the D40X - but from the size, it makes a good entry camera for those looking to advance from the Sony cybershot or Kodak walmart special.

Pentax is 'spos to be real nice too. I do like the Canon but when you already have a collection of lenses for the Nikon...

We also use a Nikon D70S and love it. But I do agree with Armpitlover, the Cannon will give you warmer shots. But, once you got everything all the lenses for the Nikon....it's just too damn expensive to make the switch.

    Thank God for Photoshop.

i use nikon for adult (interpreted: there are other ways to "warm" a picture) , this is not to say cannon is bad , i just require more "detail" in adult and nikon works best for me. (interpreted: at this time)

    jim

p.s ~ although small my avatar was shot with a cannon , so i agree cannon is good at warming!
