Nakedfrathouse--HOT content but no conversions

I recently changed the free tour of Nakedfrathouse. The site has great content with 6 hours of free live chat everyday, gallery updates every week and 9 live cams 24/7 in our San Diego dorm.

I'm getting decent traffic, but my conversions have gone way down lately. I'd love to hear suggestions.

Not sure how old your tour is, but a update to your tour would be my next guess. Your tour looks good, but if its old or your now having problems with sales, that is what I would do :signhere:

Thanks Max, but you must have missed the fact that I JUST CHANGED THE TOUR and I HAVE DECENT TRAFFIC already! It's just not converting.

I know you're trying to be helpful. But concrete suggestions based on my question is what would help. Specific suggestions like "change the join now button" instead of general ideas like "update your tour" are appreciated.

The changes obviously didnt work for you in terms of increased sales so something is wrong with it in the eyes of your surfers, go back to the old tour for a couple of weeks and see if sales pick up again, if they do, you know the new tour is no good.

There is nothing wrong with going back to 'older' versions of redesigned sites if sales drop with the new version, i do it all the time on Condom Cash.

From my experiences and also from others it makes no sense to give the consumers more for less or even more free stuff. The better sites, or the better converting sites always request a decent price for a membership and have shown only a little preview (but good one). I and my colleges are thinking that people or the surfers expecting better stuff, content etc. when the site requests a resonable price but for small money they do not expecting anything and do not sign up. Maybe you like to think about it. But this was already the truth 2,5 and 10 Years ago

I think the tour gives a good representation of the site and its features. However, users may not be interested in how the site ACTUALLY looks and functions, and may react more favorably to a tour that is more "designed".

How was the previous tour different? Did you just change the images or did you change the whole method of presentation? If you describe what the old tour was like, it might be easier to identify what's missing in the new tour.

A couple things I noticed.. the "current bros" should go to a simple little bio, and not to the join page, they need to see who is really behind that little thumbnail head shot.

The "graduates" profile popup with the join link goes to a $2.95 trial page that you have to click again to go to the ccbill signup page with a $9.95 trial, a little confusing and a couple extra clicks can lose some of them.

I always find that when the preview pics or videos or whatever are not of the current guys, people are less reluctant to join. You might make sure that the current guys are the ones on the cam preview images. Some of those guys don't look to "frat".

The live video chat link on the left goes to flirt4free, which is directly competing with your signups. maybe as an upsell in the member area, but I wouldn't offer that up front as an alternative. most of the video chat networks are so over exposed, it might even be a turnoff, people thinking the site is another "per minute" site (it does have that feel because of all the thumbs)

On the Join page, the blue text on the black background is tough to read. Not sure if that is a new page or not, but might try simple white text on black.

I also think you might go back to the old tour and see if sales pick up. I go backwards a lot, trying to find the right changes to use.

Hope some of those make sense.

I just realized 2 more things, sorry for the double post.

I didn't see any video, just still frame captures. I don't know if you have actual video clips from the live shows, but that always seems to give more of an impression than a still picture slide show. Even if you have to do some videos offline, simulating a live show, add some video action and I think you'll have a winner.

I don't know if you're married to the trial or not, but having dumped them some time ago, I have never seen a drop in sales after removing them. All that happened is the guy that would join for $8 paid $25, and by locking in for a full month, realized it was worth it to stay (or he forgot). Surfers have learned that trials are sorta tricky, and some will shy away from joining altogether for fear of hidden rebills. $24.95 for what you offer is a great value, don't belittle it with a cheap ass trial, you don't need to tie pork chops to a hot frat boy to get the dog to play with it.

Make sure you mention that there are no additional per minute charges once you are a member, with the flirt4free on the navigation panel, they might also fear it will cost more to see cock once they join.

Ok, end of my long winded ideas.
