Has anyone had any success with marketing their myspace page? I have really just started my page, but not sure how to get more traffic for it?

Trying to work up my numbers first and make "friends" I need like 5000+ of them, if I say anything about porn at all. I am thinking to mainly use this to get models, or to help with that. Just playing with it now, and trying to market the page to my age demographic. You guys should add me

see I dont know, if I do not give them any money, or take pics of them I am not sure they can do anything. I need 18-22 year old guys, and guys that are just starting or want tp play with it are my best best right now

Here we have the same pattern again. You ask the question, someone answers, you don't like the answer, and you argue why they are wrong.
You absolutely cannot talk to anyone who is under 18 and make even the slightest reference to anything remotely related to porn. No ifs, ands, or buts. It's a different law than 2257, but it's most definitely illegal, and there are a LOT of police officers and trained volunteers from pervertedjustice.com out there specifically trying to catch people talking to underage guys about sex and porn.
Not only is it illegal, it is incredibly predatory, and absolutely NOT what the industry needs... this is exactly why parents don't want their kids on Myspace, and exactly why everyone thinks the adult industry is filled with a bunch of scumbags.
Once in a while, someone underage will message us or one of our scouts, and we send a very short message back to the effect of "We cannot even talk to you about anything remotely related to sex, sexual activity, or adult video if you are under 18, and we do not accept friends who are under 18. Sorry, but that's the law." I would advise you to do the same.
If the kid is less than 17, we will also encourage them to find friends close to their own age, since they're likely to get taken advantage of by someone older.
Just seems weird that their really is a LAW that says I can not do this, I know I can not show them porn, or sign any contracts, use their pics, and all that crap, yet I am still not sold on the fact their is a law that says I can not talk to them about “modeling” in 3 months or what ever. I can see problems if they are under 16 yet getting models is going to be a BITCH and the available ones do not have a look I really like.

You are wrong. There's no grey area, it's a crime to discuss anything related to adult modeling with someone who is under 18. I am not talking about showing images or signing contracts, ANY discussion with an underage person about anything that could be construed to involve appearing in adult entertainment is a violation of both California law and the law in the state where the person you're speaking to resides, and depending on which state, it's can be a *felony* to even talk about it.
And no, I won't tell you in which states it's a felony.
If I ever hear from any model or model scout that you are doing this -- and we talk to a LOT of people on myspace through our network of scouts -- I will be the first to contact the authorities. This isn't something you fuck around with. It not only affects you, it affects the perception that others have of our industry, and it potentially affects the kids you contact.
There are plenty of guys 18 to 22 that are interested in modeling. We have well over a thousand in our database that have filled out an application to work with us, and that's without a great deal of marketing on our part. You can develop a similar database. You don't need to be a predator and go after kids who aren't of age.

I also say you made a big mistake adding that 15 year old Oliver to your myspace page that you're going to solicit porn models from. Call me crazy, just a hunch.

the fbi nails guys who do this. if you actually want our advice, don't do it. not even once. keep in mind that guys who say they are 17 are often really 14 or 15 and if they tell their parents or friends, the word WILL get out. good chance the parents will report your myspace to the police and the fbi has special units to deal with this who WILL bust your ass.
and even 17 year old guys are NOT legal to solicit to do porn. they just aren't. is your site worth spending years in court and then in jail for? i would NEVER consider doing this and recommend that you don't, either.
Because you are, 99% chance, telling them the style of shoot. you will be doing J/O Solo - Duo suck/fuck - this is talking to a minor about them doing sex acts for you even though it's projected plans of when they are of age.
Thus, your plans are to market work to 16+ and under 16 if you simply can't get 16+ to work out for you.
That's because they are 18 or over - You seem to like them when they look under 18 (Based on YOUR comments and nothing else)

Dont all freak out, I have not done anything was just see where the limits really where here. I knew you could not film anyone under 18 even if its non nude, yet was not sure where the boundaries where on the consultation stuff. I just don’t see this as that big of a deal, its not like they are going to suddenly change when they hit 18.
As far as the people on the page, I am going to have to think about it I approve everyone, I want as many as I can get. Myspace if filled with guys like that and not sure if I will ever use this to promote sites, just testing the waters, but would like to break 5000right now. I will try to make sure these guys profiles are as hidden as possible though for now. After I hit 2000 or 3000 I will have to start thinking about “cleaning” it out, before I do anything with it.
BTW I was talking about a more modern look not a 12 year old look.
