The word that comes to mind here is hubris. I mean, defying a judge and calling him "judge gone wild", evading agents trying to pick him up, THEN knowing you have the IRS after you for $20 million in tax evasion... and then slipping drugs into prison after all that?

It seems really clear that the guy honestly believes that he can bribe his way out of anything.

I saw a 20/20 show once where he was the "victim" of some alleged kidnapping, etc. I can't remember everything, it was a while ago...but apparently the kidnappers forced him into some...err...compromising positions with a dildo and videotaped it. They showed some clips on the show...maybe since it went to court, you can get a full copy of the tape. (It was put into evidence and should be public record.)
