Why So Many Straight Webmasters...

That promote gay sites but so few gay webmasters that promote straight sites?

Ive never really understood why more gay webmasters / marketers dont also promote straight sites.

With so many straight individuals and companies catering to the gay demographic these days, why arent we doing the same by catering to the straight surfer, is it because of a lack of knowledge in that market place from the gay webmaster community?

What are some straight sites worth promoting?

I've heard from practically everyone that NaughtyAllie.com converts well and retains like crazy. They have a couple other sites as well, dunno how those do.

I think that the Lightspeed sites also convert well, as long as you're comfortable with barely legal content.... from everythign I've heard, Steve is a totally up-and-up guy so I don't think there are any concerns, but some of their girls do look pretty young, and they do stuff like cheerleader outfits... but I'm told that it performs well.

Other than those two, not really sure.

I think that the straight sites look over at the "Gay Niche" as they often call it and say "ooooh, look, they charge so much more money! Let's get in on the game".

I've never spoken to a single straight webmaster with a gay site that was even paying it's own bills - not that I've spoken to them all, but still...

There also seems to be a "factory" mentality at a lot of straight content sites, just throwing it together and shipping it out whereas so many of the gay webmasters I speak to really pore their heart, soul and profits into their work.

I've always been a core competency person. If you try to be all things to all people, chances are you are nothing to nobody!
