A few minutes ago i just got rid of a really bad headache i seem to have had for the last hour or so, i swear its because ive been sat at my laptop all afternoon working.
Other than taking an advil, what else is good to stop yourself getting headaches when sitting at the PC for long periods of time?

I suppose that it depends upon what you're lookin' at all day!
other than that, my physical therapist (who's currently treating me for neck and shoulder problems) tells me that the headache, neck, shoulder back problems are because of basic ergonomics at the computer and in the car
you know, what your mamma always told you to do - sit up straight
make sure that your looking straight ahead at your display and not crimping or turning your neck to view
don't hold your phone cramped into your shoulder (hands free only)
stretch regularly, etc.....
I have never in my life gotten headaches from sitting at the PC.
This is despite the fact that I have been staring at the monitor for hours on end almost every day for 20 years, both for fun and work.
I've always used a new high quality monitor though, and have 20/20 vision.
Vision problems compounded by old monitors is a recipe for disaster.

I never get a headache but every now and then my eyes are becoming tired after a very long session in front of the monitor and they start to hurt a little. But that's usually after I have watched a lot of moving things on the screen. Static pictures don't make me tired even after a long time.
Maybe you need glasses when sitting in front of the monitor. Some of my friends only need them for their work at the PC.
I never get headaches from sitting at the PC, though I did have a lower back problem a few years ago from a bad chair. After I got a new nice new chair the problem was gone.
I was watching a special just last night on Discovery channel about a guy that was getting recurring headaches. After trying everything under the sun for years to get rid of them he finally had a brain scan, it was an aneurysm .
At one time I would get bad headaches but then we went to Japan and a friend got us Phitens.

In the last 2.5 years, I have had 1 headache and it was when I forgot to put the necklace on after a shower.

getting glasses or increasing the font size on the screen ?
i hate working off my labtop screen for longer periods, always simply hook it up to the big screen and enjoy having 2 screens insted..
