    I'm going shopping!

I need to shop for a new CMS system and a new shopping cart.

The biggest thing we need is ease of use and great support... (I am so tired of software vendors who don't support their own products... )

Has anyone here worked with Mansion? How was it? Anyone else doing wonderful product development and support?

Lee - maybe we should have a product review board here. Good products are hard to find, and good feedback is hard to get. Consumer Reports for Porn Products!

You do realize by 'gay' I mean a man who has sex with other men?

Ive never noticed that, in fact whenever someone asks a question about scripts or programs, if someone knows about the script or program there is always a great deal of information offered up about them

IMHO for a CMS you would be best going the custom route, thats what i did and im so glad about it, i could get exactly the features i wanted, can add new features as i think of them (just recently added iPod content compatibility to mine) and it cost me (so far) about $2500, which is considerably less than MAS (the only comparable CMS on the market to mine).

    Regards,

    Lee

I would agree with Lee. I have heard good things about Mansion's MAS, but when we've looked at various CMS solutions, we have yet to find one that had all the features we needed implemented in a way that worked for us.

Our custom solution cost a similar amount to Lee's, and when we need to add something, it's pretty simple to do that.

We also went the custom CMS route. We really didn't find any systems that satisfied our needs, so we designed our own system. I'm glad we did since adding new stuff is so easy.

With an out of the box CMS you are stuck with what you get. If you want to do something different then you won't be able to.

I've always been openly gay. It would never occur to me to behave otherwise.

We went mid range there...a base line system with the ability for custom additions at a very reasonable price. They have upgraded it regularly and added every feature we ever asked for. Great folks over there. http://adultwebsitepro.com/ It is not the slickest looking package out of the box but it does some very cool things.
