Disney entering porn arena

A red-faced US cable television company has apologized after a Disney cartoon was replaced with a hardcore porn film.

Comcast subscribers were left shocked when the "Handy Manny" cartoon on Playhouse Disney was interrupted by an X-rated movie, the New York Daily News reports.

Shocked Paul Dunleavy was watching the cartoon with his five-year-old son when the porn kicked in.

"It was two people doing their thing, it was full-on and it was disgusting," he said.

"It wasn't something you'd expect to see on Cinemax, never mind Disney."

Comcast has confirmed it was responsible for the error that affected sections of New Jersey.

"We had an isolated issue in a local New Jersey facility, we immediately detected the issue and it was corrected promptly," Comcast spokesman Fred DeAndrea said.

Disney's Playhouse features cartoons geared towards youngsters between the ages of three to six. SOURCE

reminds me of the time when we were releasing VHS videos and received a shipment of one of our new releases....

problem was - our tapes had been duped on some disney vhs cassettes!

we didn't know that our duplicator had done this until I noticed one of the labels peeling off to reveal one of the "classic" titles! "EEE GADS MAN" I screamed into the phone

it was a mistake - and I often wondered, how many times a DVD title had been mixed up at our replicator (a big disney vendor) and shipped by mistake....

funny thing was/is (another Tony factoid) - Disney was a major client of mine and I did a lot of consulting work for years with different divisions - everyone at "mausse-schwitz" would occasionally refer to Uncle Walt's obsession with young male behinds and the attention he gave this anatomy in many of his classic movies....

I feel bad for anyone who thinks sex is "disgusting". I mean, yes, in front of his young son it should not have been shown, but here's an excellent opportunity for a father to teach his kid about the human reproductive system. But I'll bet he acted all shameful and angry, giving his kid all kinds of neuroses about sex to the point where the kid will grow up with terrible obsessive yet guilt ridden sexual proclivities.

I remember when I was a kid, someone at my school sent me a subscription to Playboy magazine. No, not as a gift, they filled out a subscription card and I got the magazine and the bill. Well, I should say my mom got the magazine, which she promptly returned. They kept coming and looking back I'm guessing it's because she didn't actually cancel, she just put them back in the mail. I don't remember. But I remember her making such a fuss about how awful and horrible it was and I just thought that sex was the most horrible thing that could happen to people.

I always have to laugh at the phoney indignation of the anti-porn people.

Half the time they're just trying so hard to convince you that they're so up-standing that they come off as having MAJOR issues about sex and sexuality.

The rest of the time they come across as people that you know wish they could spank one out really quick.

I probably would have grabbed my beer and left my son to his new experiences. Great! That's one less thing I'll have to talk to my child about. Speaking of, I haven't seen him lately. I am sure he found his way home from school.

How old are you? LOL! Twenty years from now people are going to look at the emo haircuts, the jewelry, the fads and fashions and say it's "ugly" too.

On the other hand, there are a lot of people who were either there and still remember it, or are young and prefer that look of manliness from the 70's that you don't always see today.

Why is it that when a person doesn't like something they'll be really quick to say it's ugly or stupid, rather than simply acknowledging that it's not to their liking. If I didn't care for a movie I wouldn't say it's a bad movie, I would just say that I didn't like it. I mean, just because I didn't like it doesn't mean that the people who made it did a bad job. Same way, if I don't like a person's appearance, how could I call them "ugly" when there are probably a lot of other people who think they are really hot. I'm not picking on you, Space Glider, because I find that most people speak that way. I'm just saying that it says a lot about our society and the way we speak when we state our opinions as if they were fact, rather than saying that they are just our views. It's a pet peeve of mine.

Sorry for the tangent, I got very little sleep last night and things are hitting me in a weird way today.

If you want to see how more sexual Disney has gotten since 50 years ago, just look at the Disney Princesses. Snow White had the chest of a 10 year old. Where as Jasmine and Ariel look like they've had realy good implants. But thats just me.
