Hypnotizing models on cam, is this legal?

Is this considered a form of drugging?

We're against this, but some other sites are doing it and we have received requests from members to hypnotize models on camera.

    Thoughts?

I don't see the real harm. Hypnosis can't force someone to do something against their will or character. It's just another level of relaxation and concentration. They're fully alert.

And the number one thing you don't want to find out about your model recruiter, he is a hypnotist.

There is a huge interest in this area but I've seen very few sites devoted to it. There are a few text based sites, tons of yahoo groups (many of which have become spam dumps) but very few actual photo or video sites. Jet did a video a little while ago called "Going Under".

Speaking not as a lawyer but as someone with an interest in this type of thing, here are my views. It might be a good idea to consult with a lawyer regarding this just to be safe.

Of course there is always the possibility of staging it if you are worried about the legalities of it. But any trained hypnotist will tell you that you cannot make someone do something under hypnosis that they do not want to do, however, having said that, keep in mind that if you release the inhibitions of someone to do that which they have wanted to do deep in their unconscious mind, you run the risk of their embarrassment when it's all done. If it is something you want to try, get a real hypnotist who knows what they are doing so the models will know what they are getting into and make sure they are okay with the final result. Or, simply stage it. But if you do, just make sure that the acting is good. People with any fetish can always spot a phony.

i'm willing to bet that it isn't legal - but keep in mind that it's probably not really happening on sites that claim to do it.

I'd be near certain that it isn't really happening.

Most of the stage shows with hypnotists do not really involve much hypnosis. It's more about the power of peer pressure... the hypnotist says stuff like "only really intelligent people can go fully under hypnosis" and the audience expects the person to act silly, so they mostly play along - and usually don't want to admit that they weren't "under trance" because then, they would be admitting they "weren't intelligent" or whatever.

That said, some people are more susceptible to suggestion than others and are easier to hypnotize, but you could not, for example, take someone who was opposed to doing porn, hypnotize them, and get them to get naked and whack off on camera, it simply isn't going to happen, in large part because the subconscious mind won't *allow* someone to fully go into trance unless there's a strong degree of trust between the hypnotherapist and the client.

My guess is that if you *portray* that, but put somewhere in your TOS that it's fake, you're probably OK.
