You do realize by 'gay' I mean a man who has sex with other men?

Reality And Porn - Where Do We Draw The Line?

This thread about hypnotizing guys on cam..

    http://forums.gaywidewebmasters.com/...ad.php?t=23506

Got me thinking about how surfers perceive the stuff they see happen on porn sites and in movies they buy, if adult webmasters cant distinguish between 'reality' and a 'script' do you think surfers are able to tell the difference?

Specifically with sites like we have talked about before, pseduo rape sites, sleeping guy sites (sorry Squirt ) and those sites that show guys/girls being 'exposed' in public without their consent.

If this type of content, even though it is consensual on camera between the models appearing in it, even though there are disclaimers saying it is all consensual etc, is often confused as being non-consensual by webmasters, do you think surfers are going to think the same way and beleive these types of sites are 'real' in the actions they are portraying?

In your opinion, are there certain legal niches that we perhaps shouldnt be promoting or producing because they blur the lines between what is 'real' and what is 'fiction' when it comes to porn and could this blurred line cause viewers of such content to go out and break the law?

    Your thoughts on this?

Again, sorry to Squirt for mentioning his site i know he gets a lot of grief about it from certain people but it kind of fit to the topic so i had to mention it.

    Regards,

    Lee

No worries Lee.. I know this is you trying to get me to post :develish: jk

With my sleepingmen.com site it's very obvious that you can't vigourusly jerk someone off to cumming without them being awake.

I've put promo clips up no youtube and all the comments are "this is so obviously fake" "yes but it's a great fantasy" and "this was one of my first experiences with friends when I was younger" etc etc. Every so often I'll get some wacko that wants advice on how I do it and my hunch is those are the same people calling up the cable company thinking the TV is talking to them.

No matter how you portray porn, there will always be someone who takes it as reality. Thats why we have porn addiction. People who can't get their rocks off unless they are watching porn. Its very sad but with all great things come bad. I think its a balance that must be maintained.

Some stories I've writen involve random acts of sex with strangers, which is not exactly fantasy considering one night stands, but it makes it seem like its totally easy to talk a guy into your bed. Some guy might read a story like that but get frustrated with "real life" doesn't work out that wa.

During the airing of Gilligan's Island in the 1960's the Navy received thousands of calls demanding that they do something about "getting those poor people stranded on that island back to civillization". And they WEREN'T joking.

    I agree

Right now the mentality is yell FIRE! in a theatre because someone told you there was a fire and assuming no personal responsibility for your actions.

Thiefs don't care right now. They are stealing everything they can and pretending like they had no idea that what they are stealing belongs to the person who created it i.e. youtube (common sense) If you didn't create it, you have no right to make money from it unless given expressed permission from the proven copyright holder.

This will destroy the entertainment industry if it continues, not just porn. Why do people feel entitled to steal something that isn't theres and making money from it?

i must admit i dont get why people thing porn "reality" sites are any more real than the next movie about austin powers..

In any good mainstream action flick some people gets shot but if you make a porno where someone is shot, everyone will cry out in horror !?!

no matter how you slice and dice things its just a movie porno or otherwise...

where we should draw the line is the people that put stupid home made stuff on youtube like sites of themselves doing stupid stuff or assulting people out of the blue.. that shit is way way more dangerous imo...
