Minimum Pic Sizes These Days?

Right now im going on the basis that 1000px on the longest side is going to be the absolute minimum size needed for any new content that i start purchasing over the next few weeks and just wondered if you folks thought that was 'good' or whether i should be aiming for content with a larger dimension?

For some reason, porn sites seem to be taking baby steps when it comes to upscaling tours and member areas to meet the demand of higher screen resolution usage by most surfers ... I agree that 1000x on the long side is the minimum I'd be buying, unless it's to upgrade sites already setup with an 800x presentation.

If you have the option for bigger, I'd certainly be doing so. Keep notes on what you have, or get, that will fit the larger screen displays.
