We need your advice on converting unique visitors to signups

Hello, I am with the marketing team for http://www.youngrecruits.com
We launched Young Recruits in December of 2006. The first few months after we launched, we were only getting one to two signups every other day. So, we changed the tour pages from the original to the current version, and we were up to an average of 10 sales a day. This jump in sales lasted for about a 2-3 month and now we are right back to where we started when we launched. Our sales have dropped back down to one to two a day. We need your professional and objective opinion on what we are doing wrong. Our daily unique average is about 7300 visitors right now mainly twink traffic. You do not have to worry about hurting our feelings.

Well for a start, you tell the surfer that its exclusive content... When it isnt.

Thats probably a big reason why your signups arent good, dont forget, surfers arent dumb (for the most part) they know if content is exclusive or not.

If you're gonna lie to them on the tour.. What are you gonna do to them once they are inside the members area and you have their CC info?

The majority of the content is exclusive! There are a handful of scenes that are not exclusive. So should i put on the tour ..."semi exclusive"? How would you approach that? What do you think?

Id use the exclusive stuff only on the tour, and label it as exclusive

Right now, it looks like you are trying to say you have content which can be found on numerous other sites exclusively and im pretty sure thats going to be a turnoff for surfers who know what content they have and havent seen before.

Inside the members area, it doesnt matter whether you have exclusive, semi exclusive or licensed content, its what you put on the tour that matters although if you say you have exclusive content on the tour, its probably a good idea to have it in the members area also hehe

for your episode pics you have one big and 4 small pics, change that to 1 huge and 2-3 small pics and get rid of most of the white space around that box (ie, make the pics that little bit bigger) and wrap a video player console around the big one. Make the big pic more interesting (read: hardcore) with a mix down the page, like the first episode shows a big cocksucking pic, the second one shows a big fuck pic, etc... The boys faces are cute but those are not what you are selling, you are selling porn!

oh gawd!!! i just looked at your join page....thats enough to scare away anyone. KISS - Keep It Simple!!! get rid of all those prices and options and set it up assuming they want ccbilling (use a dropdown for the price choices) and then offer phone billing / eurodebit as a little icon on the bottom. And IMHO get rid of cheque billing, its a total waste of time and leads to 90% bounced cheques anyway.

Get the cum shots out of the tour.

Why would I join a program if I can see the cum without paying? (that's why they call it a "money shot." It's the shot people pay money to see.)

The major thing that struck me is how the low quality of the video really comes across in the video stills.. the aspect ratio is kinda off, the video is foggy and grainy. Some of the screen shots are blurry and out of focus.

Quality really does go a long way here.

finally.. Twink traffic isn't looking for what your'e selling. you want traffic that's looking for straight guys i gay action. Military men aren't twinks even if they're 18.

When I see a webmaster promoting Fratmen as "twinks" I jump right on it... they're not sending me people who want what I'm selling.
