page counters - does anyone use this anymore?

The last I heard, outster was spyware. I used to like gayrated but their counter has been broken for 2 years now.

It's an idea that is due for a rebirth.

For the traffic that they can possibly send high ramking sites. Gayrated used to send me a nice amount of traffic. And if a counter site does it right, they can become very valuable for link pop for counter users. And not to mention, they could get nice SE traffic themselves.

It's really just a different type of Top List.
