    DV Streaming Firewire ?

    Does anyone know a good software that can detect my camcorder dv to be able to stream for webcam show's


    I had a program before but cannot seem to find

    my sony hdr fx1 has firewire and I know there are ways to detect on a windows machine

    On my mac works no problem

    but I need to use to windows media encoder tool .. and I need to find a program to detect my firewire dv cam anyone recommend a program

    Pierre,

    if your Windows box has a firewire port in it, you can capture with Windows Movie Maker, which should be part of your Windows installation.

    Another option is to capture on your Mac, write the raw file as a Quicktime file to a DVD and then read that on your PC. Or, if your Mac and PC are networked together, you can just bring the file over the network.
