Gender In The Adult Industry...

So im wondering, specifically for you folks right now, lets say you had to contact one of your sponsor programs support reps for something, would you be more likely to try and contact a male or a female rep first?

I must admit, over the past few months ive been watching several of the large straight adult webmaster boards and it would seem, 9 times out of 10 when there is a problem with something, or an affiliate needs to get in touch with a program, most of the male webmasters tend to ask how to contact other male webmasters whilst typically speaking, the females of the industry that i have noticed, tend to try contact other females.

Im wondering if you folks thought this was common practice or if it was just purely coincidence?

Are there gender preferences at work in the industry when it comes to affiliate support or contacting a program?

Do you folks prefer dealing with male or female reps or doesnt it matter to you as long as your issue gets solved, who would you look for first if you had the choice between a male or female rep?

I have to say, id probably be more inclined to contact the female rep myself, for no particular reason that i can think of, its just something looking back i have always done.

On my regular job and for matters in my private life I've always preferred to deal with females. Don't ask me why but I get along with them better. Maybe it's because you can skip all the display behaviour and attempts to impress and superior the other which you can find in a lot of males. Dealing with females is much more business and leads to success easier. Sometimes it needs me to bring the message over that I'm not the least interested in becoming their breeder, but once this is out of the way we can go back to business again.

In the adult industry, even though I don't mind dealing with females for business purposes, I rather talk to gay men. Of course this doesn't count for pure administrative things, but when it comes to discussing sponsor programs and support I rather talk to someone who understands the male gay thing. Even though I'm sure some females know what's about it when talking about dicks, I just think they can't follow any twist and turn of my views on gay topics.

couldn't care less whether my rep is a man or a woman. i haven't noticed that one gender is more helpful than the other... the way i see it, i'm not looking for friends - i'm looking for someone to help me with a work related issue.
