And they say justice is upposed to be blind....

Unless you are upper class, rich, or white that is.

I dont get why celebrities are allowed to make a mockery of the legal system and Paris should have been treated like any other inmate, if she didnt eat, she'd be force fed with tubes or she'd be allowed to die.

My brother was in jail for 14 months.

When he was sick, he was lucky to see a doctor after a month of asking for one and even then he'd probably just be given asprin.

I'm sure I'm alone in this but I won't stay at Hilton hotels anymore. The whole thing just disgusts me.

I really hope that enough people express outrage and something is done. The girl is a complete piece of shit, and getting out of jail in 3 days neither sends a message to her bazillions of "fans" nor teaches her a damn thing except that she is above the law.

A "private lockup" at a mansion is total BS. Why didn't they just come out and say "She paid us off so we decided to let her out"?

Just read at TMZ that she was released for a "psychological" condition... she was supposedly "on the verge of a nervous breakdown"

Well boo hoo hoo. I would guess that nearly everyone who is sent to jail is "on the verge of a nervous breakdown." What happened to the "I'm ready to serve my time and reflect and make a change for the better?"

    This really disgusts me.

my friend was in jail till he really did have a nervous breakdown, and was almost killed by other people in jail. no one let him out one day early. after he came out, he was afraid to be around people and stayed in a small room at a friend's house for 6 months without seeing anyone.

is my heart supposed to bleed for a girl who can afford a fucking cab or a limo but insists on driving drunk? i think fucking not.

So they're gonna let everybody that throws a fit go home with a bracelet, right? Right?

Right. I can smell blowback on this one.

What a completely gross exaggeration of the facts!!

    It's merely a 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom Spanish house! :goof:

where's the sympathy? where's the love? :argue:

Don't you realize that Paris Hilton is so far above us that the law of the land does not apply to her?

Besides it's not the first time that she's used her mental (in)capacity to escapte justice.

Didn't some judge just rule that she wasn't competent to asist in her own defence on some matter or the other?

Hissy fits are prescribable medical conditions Pfizer can tack onto the list next to Restless Legs Syndrome and hiccups.

She was probably denied Windex and didn't get to disinfect every surface of the cell before touching anything.

    Haha poor Paris....

Another official is blasting the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department over the decision to reassign Paris Hilton to house arrest.

In a statement to TMZ, Los Angeles City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo said:

"Today I was extremely troubled to learn that the Sheriff's Department has decided to release Ms. Hilton from custody just three days after she was admitted to county jail.

My office was not advised of this action. We learned of it this morning through news reports, just like everyone else. Had we been provided with the proper notification, we would have opposed the decision on legal grounds.

News reports indicate that the Sheriff's Department released Ms. Hilton to house arrest due to a medical condition. This explanation is puzzling. Los Angeles county jail medical facilities are well-equipped to deal with medical situations involving inmates.

I am also concerned that the judicial process may have been improperly circumvented in this case. Ms. Hilton was incarcerated as a condition of her probation. As a result, the judge retained jurisdiction over her case and only the judge has the power to modify these conditions of probation. If Ms. Hilton's medical condition truly warranted a change in her circumstances, what should have happened is the following: Ms. Hilton's legal counsel should have filed an emergency application with the court and provided my office with the opportunity to respond, and then the court could have held a hearing on the matter to consider whether there was sufficient justification to change the terms of his original order. I have directed my criminal branch to immediately explore all possible legal options to ensure that the law is being applied equally and justly in this case.

If law enforcement officials are to enjoy the respect of those we are charged with protecting, we cannot tolerate a two-tiered jail system where the rich and powerful receive special treatment. We must ensure that in our city, in our nation, and under our Constitution, justice remains blind."

She'll be back inside within a week

GOOD. MAYBE we'll be surprised by the result. Surprised in a pleasant way.
