With time seemingly vanishing every day, I started to record what exactly I do in work mode with each various project and when. Consider it a time management study.
Recently over the past few days there have been thunderstorms in my general area of my dought-stricken region of the USA. Usually you hear a thunderstorm coming via thunder.
As I was working, there was a bright flash and a loud SNAP sound, followed quickly by thunder. Needless to say, I quickly unplugged the computer.
Lights then flickered and eventually went dark, with no additional thunder heard. Then here was enough hail to make the ground turn white. The strange sudden and generally quiet storm lasted about 8-10 minutes.
With no power, I began to read a Gay novel by sunlight. Then got restless and decided I needed to work and write a porn review - but my notes were in the powerless computer. I began to understand my dependence on electric.
I was hungry so decided to drive to a favorite asian restaurant. Alas, they were also out of power, and there were small drifts of hail there. I returned home and got candles ready for a long dark evening.
Power was restored before full dark, 2.5 hours later. What did I do? Not cook dinner, being hungry, but turn on the computer.
