CCBill: What sort of reports would you, as an affiliate or program owner, like to see

We are finalizing the reports for our new admins (client and affiliate, expected to be released toward the end of the summer) and wanted to get some comments/suggestions from the community on what they would like to see. Please throw all suggestions/ideas/brainstorming topics, etc out.

We are saving loads of data in our DBs, what would you like to see? how frequently you run some reports vs. other reports, in what format would you like the data, whats your “dream” report, etc.

This is an open forum, all input will be appreciated and considered

This doesn't exactly relate to reports, but is something that is crucial to us, and probably to any other sponsor and affiliate who places risk management and risk mitigation high on their list of important business considerations.

The new CCBill affiliate program should allow some simple and reliable way for a sponsor to export ALL of the crucial data from the ccbill program (or to back it up on their own servers on a regular basis) in the event of a catastrophic failure with CCBill.

I honestly believe that CCBill's conservative approach to billing will likely ensure that, as long as *any* IPSP remains alive and healthy, CCBill will be around and healthy... but, strictly from a risk management perspective, I need assurance that if something goes terribly wrong, I can, with minimal effort, reconstruct my affiliate program on another platform (NATS, MPA3, Executive Stats).

That's actually one of the most promising things about the Epoch/MPA3 arrangement... although the program owner is locked into Epoch in first cascade position, if Epoch were to suddenly go under, my understanding is that it would be extremely easy to port over to the Mansion version of MPA and put whatever other biller (CCBill, Verotel, etc) is still healthy in first cascade position.

So a "report" that essentially allowed export of *everything* into some sort of format that would allow easy importing into NATS or MPA, with nearly seamless continuation of traffic credit on the part of affiliates would be, to me, the single most valuable feature of the new system.

Have it setup so that the new ccbill user HAS to give his affiliate program some sort of name, either the cash program or site name if it's a single entity, and no more generic "ccbill affiliate program" type listings.

I'd love to see the emails say right in the subject: you've referred a sale to nameofsite ... or at least get it into the body of the email, instead of just referencing the id number.

Ip reports, being able to match ip adresses to sales/affiliates along with sites/usernames - This would be a great help in tracking down fraudulent affiliates.

Campaigns! So i can break my ratios down to traffic types or any other way i want. That's the best thing about Nat's and mpa3 for me is the ability to create campaigns so i get more info about whats working and what isn't.

Also if you could address xstraightguys issue of certain virus programs blocking the CCBill cookie, that would be great. We need to ensure that affiliates are getting credited for sales correctly. That is fundamental to having CCBill manage your affiliate program.

I know this isn't what your asking, but going multi currency would be a good move too as many affiliates and customers are not in the United States. I think in the future non USA webmasters and especially customers, are going to start to expect to billed in a currency that they understand and using cards and payment methods that they are happy with rather than either visa or MasterCard.

I'd like to see a weekly affiliate payout summary, indicating the affiliates receiving a payout in a particular week, not simply their sales for the week.

    two things:
    1) add "last months" total stats to the main page of webadmin
    2) make it easier to get to reports in webadmin, it seems everything is always at least 4 clicks away.

    cheers,
    Luke

Another report id like to see, is a cost per click report based on individual affiliates/sites/traffic amounts.

Say an affiliate has made 10 sales one day, id like to know how much traffic was sent, how many hits were sent to make the first sale, what the CPC value was of those hits, etc

I also echo the affiliate payout report suggestion above.

One other report id like is to be able to see at a snapshot sales that were sent by affiliates that either cancelled, expired, chargedback or were voided, again, this would be a great tool for a program owner in tracking down fraudulent affiliates.

    Regards,

    Lee

Id also like this, in addition to 'last week' and 'last year' on the quickstats too.

That way program owners will be able to see how they do growth wise on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis at a glance instead of having to drill down further in the Webadmin.

    Lee

hehe...all of them LOL!!! I think it would work really well if you just converted the directory menu to a dropdown style, hover over the directory and it drops down a list of all available reports.

I would like to see the ability to link accounts (rather than simply subaccounts). We have several different corporate entities, which forces us to create seperate accounts for all our sites.

The other thing I really HATE about using ccbill is its slowness. Checking stats, looking up transactions, etc is one of the most time consuming and boring duties I have... and mostly because of how incredibly slow the servers are (and I check my stats in the middle of the night!)
