    Don Mike was a horse

Hmmm, I seem to have found evidence of a past life...

...and there they go to a perfect start. At the break it's Specify going to the front, Wedding Call is second on the rail. Whichcee is third and moving up between horses. Seabiscuit is fourth. On the outside, Don Mike is second and Royal Crusader is going up very fast. In the middle of the track coming by the stands the first time it's Seabiscuit in front by a head. Whichcee is second, and now going to the front on the inside by a neck.

Bet both the horse and the skater threw a shoe at some point.

Funny how "Don Mike" sounds friendly, but "Don Michael" sounds like someone who'll make you an offer you can't refuse.

Ah, the days of skating that required you to wear your cardigan, not some spandex with sequins!
