Is this friskyfans movie review insensitive?

We've just put up a review of Alexander's latest DVD called Arabian Tales 1, a very good flick, like all the rest of his work.

I call special attention to the paragraph beginning with the word "Khuzumayjan" - would that be like a comic quip similar to something using Apu in the Simpsons, or something potentially offensive? Or have I been up all night again and over-analyzing the point?

    Review: http://www.friskyfans.org/reviews/arabian_tales1.htm

    Thanks,
    Steve

Considering your eloquent review I hardly think one joke would seem insensitive. Maybe it would seem out of place if the rest of the review consisted of "a bunch of guys with towels wrapped on their heads" and that sort rhetoric but a few little jokes keep things interesting, so I wouldn't sweat it.

    Don Mike --- spot on.

If I'd started my review with something like "Film director Alexander must have scoured every Quick-E Mart in Orange County to find this mouthwatering set of hot Arabian hunks...."

that would be if anything more tasteless.

Thanks for the comments guys. I feel better.

Why did you feel bad in the first place??

Stage names are made up. For all you know, he DID make the name up from the sound of someone sneezing!!

I do try not to make fun of things that cannot be changed, but a stage name is a choice and open for gigglin' at.
