I don't know, but this is just wrong, least in my mind. Bush just commuted the jail time for Scooter Libby, claiming it was overly harsh? Geez, I need to get into politics, seems that's where the money really is. :bobby:

I can't believe this is actually true... I'm dumbstruck! Bush really has no shame. I can't wait to see what Keith Olbermann has to say about this.
Of course he did... just wait, everyone from Enron will be pardoned in time. Afterall it was Enrons jets that were flying him around during his campain.

Bush Commuted no Pardon for Libby. Which means Libby has a 250K fine 3 years probation, millions in legal bills. Oh yes and no Job. Hidden message to Scooter from the Prez. Keep your mouth SHUT & my Republican cronies will pay off your legal bills and I might pardon you in the last days of my presidency. Believe Weinberger got the same deal in 92 from Daddy Bush! Hey what do we expect They take care of each other! Cynical? :joker: Me???
Anyone who thought he wouldnt be at least commuted was fooling themselves, this is the guy who has probably done more for the Bush Whitehouse that Karl Rove.
The amount of 'dirt' this guy has on everyone in the Bush Administration is going to be overwhelming so of course he wasnt going to jail.

Lee
Oh I agree Lee and thats why commutation makes perfect sense. If Bush pardoned Scooter then he has no "leverage"!
I'm shaking my head as I recall the President asserting that he'd hold anyone involved in the CIA name leak accountable. :vampire:
but if you remember, I think what he said was "they wouldn't be working in his administration any more" which is, in fact, true.
The man is a master of doubletalk. I'm just waiting until his press secretary starts declaring statements "inoperative. "
